John Curtis

John Curtis (Republican Party) is a member of the U.S. House, representing Utah’s 3rd Congressional District. He assumed office on November 13, 2017. His current term ends on January 3, 2025.

Curtis (Republican Party) is running for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Utah. He is running in the Republican convention on April 27, 2024.

Curtis was first elected to the office at a special election on November 7, 2017, to replace Jason Chaffetz (R). He was re-elected on November 6, 2018, earning 67.5% of votes to defeat James Singer (D).

Curtis previously served as the mayor of Provo, Utah, from 2010 through 2017.

Curtis graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business management. Before becoming mayor of Provo, Utah, in 2010. Curtis was the chief executive officer and partner at Action Target Company, which manufactures shooting range equipment. He was re-elected in 2013 with 86 percent of the vote. Curtis has six children with his wife Sue.
