Another Leftist Narrative Crumbles as Pirro Announces New Arrests in 'Big Balls' Case

It’s been a rough week for the leftist narrative surrounding the Edward Coristine case, especially after Jeanine Pirro, the interim U.S. Attorney for D.C., announced two more arrests in the ongoing investigation. You remember Coristine, right? The former DOGE staffer, nicknamed “Big Balls,” who took a brutal beating while trying to protect a young woman from an attempted carjacking in Washington, D.C., on August 3rd. Of course, leftist outlets, eager to downplay the attack, tried to turn it into a joke—calling it a “military police state” overreaction and mocking Coristine for getting "his a** kicked" by what they described as a group of “unarmed preteens.”

As we know, the reality was far different. There were 10 attackers, not the preteens the left wanted to paint. Coristine was left bloody and battered from the assault, and the situation wasn’t just about one man getting hurt—it was symptomatic of a larger wave of violence that had been surging in the nation's capital, prompting President Trump to authorize federal law enforcement intervention. Of course, that drew a chorus of condemnation from figures like Obama alum Sawyer Hackett, but, as always, their arguments collapsed under scrutiny.

In a significant turn, Pirro’s announcement on Monday confirmed what many of us had already suspected: the attackers weren’t the innocent kids they were made out to be. In fact, two more individuals—Laurence Powell, 19, and Anthony Taylor, 18—were arrested in connection to the crime. These men, alongside their teenage counterparts, are facing serious federal charges. Powell, who already had a history of violent behavior, was given probation for a previous felony charge despite Pirro’s office recommending jail time. A mere 30 days later, he reoffended—allegedly taking part in the brutal attack on Coristine. And yet, the leftist narrative still tried to pass off these individuals as harmless, even though they clearly weren’t.

Pirro has rightly called for the age of criminal accountability to be lowered to 14, emphasizing the absurdity of allowing repeat offenders to walk free simply because of their age. It’s about time we stopped coddling youth criminals and started holding them accountable for their actions. Powell’s repeated offenses and the leniency of the court are just another example of how the justice system often fails to protect the public, especially when it comes to violent crime.

The charges against Powell, Taylor, and the others involved in the attack are serious. Two counts of first-degree robbery and assault with intent to commit robbery, each carrying a penalty of up to 15 years, as well as attempted carjacking with up to five years in prison. The left may try to downplay this as just another case of "preteen mischief," but these arrests are a stark reminder that crime is a serious issue—one that deserves real consequences, not mockery.

So, as the left continues to spin their story and mock the victims, the truth becomes clearer with every arrest: this wasn’t some random act of youthful rebellion, but a violent, orchestrated attack by individuals who should have been held accountable long before now. Kudos to Pirro for pushing back against this dangerous narrative and demanding justice for those affected. And here's hoping the system finally takes the gloves off and starts treating repeat offenders like Powell and Taylor for what they truly are—threats to society.
