Well, here we go again. Joe Biden, the man liberals swore was the picture of health and vitality, has been spotted with a massive bandage on his head after undergoing surgery for skin cancer. Because nothing says “leader of the free world” quite like showing up at church with what looks like a fresh battle scar.
According to his spokesperson, Biden recently had Mohs surgery—a procedure where doctors peel away thin layers of cancerous tissue until they’re sure it’s all gone. Sounds serious enough, but of course, they’re being vague about what type of skin cancer it actually was. Transparency clearly isn’t this administration’s strong suit.
The video making the rounds shows the 82-year-old leaving church in Rehoboth Beach over Labor Day weekend, frail and visibly marked by the surgery. Earlier sightings had him covering up with a baseball cap at an ice cream shop (because of course, ice cream is still a priority), and before that, a giant bandage at the funeral of former Delaware Gov. Mike Castle.
Let’s not forget—this isn’t just about skin cancer. Back in May, Biden revealed he had Stage 4 prostate cancer that had spread to his bones. Doctors even gave it the highest severity ratings: a Gleason score of 9 and a Grade Group of 5. In other words, this is not the kind of diagnosis you just “walk off.” Add in a basal cell carcinoma removed last year, and the picture isn’t exactly one of robust health.
Jill Biden has faced her own cancer treatments too, undergoing Mohs surgery in 2023. So yes, as Biden himself once posted, “Cancer touches us all.” True words. The problem is, when you’re trying to run a country in crisis, we can’t afford a commander-in-chief who looks more like a patient-in-chief.
The American people deserve leaders who are strong, capable, and transparent about their health—because the stakes are too high for anything less. And while we can all wish Biden well personally, maybe it’s time the left admits what everyone else can see: this is not the picture of strength they keep trying to sell us.
On the bright side, the more the truth comes out, the harder it is for the media to keep propping up the illusion. And that’s a win for the American people.
