It's only 2025, but you can already hear the panic from Democrats, and it's going to keep escalating until the end of President Donald Trump's second term. Even though we're still in the early stages of his second term, it’s clear Democrats are already looking ahead—and they’re sweating bullets about JD Vance potentially becoming the next president after Trump.
Former White House Press Secretary and MSNBC commentator Jen Psaki recently appeared on The I've Had It Podcast with hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan, where they took shots at Trump’s competence (ironic, considering Psaki worked for Joe Biden). They were all too eager to tear apart the idea of JD Vance becoming a major political player. In fact, Psaki went so far as to describe Vance as “scarier” than Trump, a statement that could only be described as pure panic.
"I think the little Manchurian candidate, JD Vance, wants to be president more than anything else," Psaki said, implying some sort of sinister plot. She then proceeded to speculate about his wife, claiming, "I always wonder what is going on in the mind of his wife. Are you okay? Please blink four times. Come over here, we'll save you." It was an odd and bizarre statement—almost as if Psaki doesn't understand that happy marriages look different than what her imagination is conjuring.
Psaki didn’t stop there. She went on to say that Vance is "scarier in certain ways" than Trump, mainly because he's young and ambitious. She suggested that Vance could easily transform into whatever his audience wants, which she clearly finds unsettling. She even tried to pitch that he’s “a little odd,” but here’s the problem: this tactic already failed during the campaign. Vance’s story is one of immense success, showing that you can rise from humble beginnings to achieve great things in America. Calling him "weird" when you supported 2024 Democratic candidates like Tim Walz and Kamala Harris—both of whom are known for their eccentricities—is pretty rich.
Let’s be honest: being “smart, young, and ambitious” probably is "scary" to Democrats, especially when those qualities come with the American Dream as the backdrop. But what's really amusing here is that the attacks on Vance aren’t even primarily about Trump—they’re just about attacking whoever the opponent is. How do you spin someone as bad as “Hitler” without looking utterly ridiculous? Democrats tried that with Mitt Romney, and it failed spectacularly then, too.
In the end, it’s clear that Democrats are more concerned with the threat of a normal, successful person like JD Vance than with anything Trump is doing. The level of desperation in these attacks is not only hilarious, but it also shows that the real fight is over how to discredit any potential challenger. It’s a strategy full of flaws, and it’s only getting more entertaining.
