Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and musician Kid Rock teamed up this week to deliver a simple, no-nonsense message to Americans: move your body and eat real food. Radical stuff in 2026, apparently.
Kennedy announced the collaboration on X, saying he partnered with Kid Rock to share two basic ideas with the public: “GET ACTIVE + EAT REAL FOOD.” The post featured a high-energy video titled “Secretary Kennedy and Kid Rock’s Rock Out Workout,” set to Kid Rock’s song “Bawitdaba.” Because nothing says public health like crunches and classic rock.
The video shows Kennedy and Kid Rock together in a mix of workout and lifestyle scenes—posing with the American flag and the Statue of Liberty, eating food, and exercising side by side. Kennedy is seen using a seated arm curl machine while Kid Rock works a cable machine nearby. In another clip, Kennedy holds Kid Rock’s feet as he does crunches, before both rotate through different gym equipment.
At several points, both appear shirtless during parts of the workout. Kennedy rides an exercise bike while Kid Rock does push-ups in the background, then they swap. There’s also a scene of Kennedy taking an ice bath—fully clothed in jeans—while Kid Rock relaxes in a hot tub. The two even play pickleball and later drink whole milk together while seated in the hot tub. Somewhere, a nutritionist fainted, but the message was clear: be active and keep it simple.
The collaboration comes just days after Kid Rock made headlines with his performance at the Turning Point USA All America Halftime Show, created as an alternative to the NFL’s Super Bowl Halftime Show. A TMZ poll later showed Kid Rock winning the halftime showdown with 64.5 percent support over Bad Bunny before the poll was shut down.
On February 9, Kid Rock also hit number one on the iTunes chart with his rendition of “‘Til You Can’t,” performed at the Turning Point USA event, bumping Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” from the top spot. The original version of the song by Cody Johnson also climbed the charts that day, outranking Bad Bunny as well.
The Turning Point USA All America Halftime Show drew more than 25 million viewers across its platforms, including over six million views on YouTube alone, with final audience numbers still pending.
In an era when public health messaging usually sounds like a lecture, this one came with guitars, gym machines, and a whole lot of attitude. Whether you’re lifting weights or lifting a fork with real food on it, the takeaway is clear: being healthy doesn’t have to be complicated—and that’s a message most Americans can get behind.
