Looking for Leniency on Your Assassination Charge? Just Say You’re Trans — It Works Every Time

Apparently in 2025, there’s a new “get out of jail (almost) free” card — all you have to do is announce that you’re transgender. Forget accountability, justice, or common sense. Just declare your new pronouns, and the judge will treat you like a hero in a self-discovery movie.

That’s exactly what happened on Friday when California native Nicholas Roske — yes, the man who traveled across the country with a Glock, ammunition, zip ties, and pepper spray intending to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — got a measly eight-year sentence. Eight years. The federal government had recommended thirty.

Roske was arrested back in June 2022 outside Kavanaugh’s home in Maryland after calling 911 on himself. And while he didn’t pull the trigger, the intent was crystal clear: political violence motivated by hatred of conservatives. But now, thanks to his defense team’s last-minute revelation that he “identifies” as a woman named Sophie, the story has taken a grotesque turn from courtroom drama to gender-affirmation special.

Judge Deborah Boardman apparently thought this was an opportunity for emotional healing. “I am heartened that this terrible infraction has helped the Roske family … accept their daughter for who she is,” she said. You’d think this was a Lifetime movie, not the sentencing of an attempted assassin.

And the media? They couldn’t jump on the pronoun parade fast enough. NBC News ran the headline: “Woman sentenced to 8 years in prison for attempting to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh.” CBS, ABC, The New York Times, The Guardian — all followed suit, referring to Roske as “she.” Never mind that he’s biologically male, or that the attempted target was a sitting Supreme Court Justice. Facts are apparently less important than feelings.

You can almost hear the absurdity: “Sure, Your Honor, I was plotting to kill a federal judge — but I’ve also been on a personal journey.” And in 2025, that’s enough to shave off twenty-two years.

It’s the same media that “misgendered” facts themselves to protect other violent criminals. Remember the man who shot up a Catholic school in Minnesota? NBC bent over backwards to call him “she,” turning a male killer into a “female suspect.” When evil becomes politically inconvenient, they just rewrite the biology.

What we’re seeing isn’t empathy — it’s institutionalized insanity. It’s the justice system bending over to appease ideological fads while eroding public trust. Judge Boardman’s ruling didn’t just insult every victim of political violence; it sent a message to every extremist out there: if you want leniency, just change your pronouns.

And the worst part? The media will happily amplify it, too afraid to state the obvious truth that Nicholas Roske is a man. Not a misunderstood woman. Not a victim of gender distress. A would-be assassin of a Supreme Court Justice.

This should have been a moment for the justice system to draw a line in the sand — to show that political violence will be punished severely, no matter who commits it or what identity box they check. Instead, it became another episode of America’s most dangerous reality show: Identity Politics Gone Wild.

If there’s any lesson here, it’s that under this twisted new moral order, justice isn’t blind anymore — she’s just woke.
