Even across party lines, the outlook is grim. Among Trump voters, half think violence will increase. Among Harris voters, 61 percent think so. The difference? Republicans talk about fixing the system. Democrats just talk about “resistance” — and then wonder why the country feels like a powder keg.
Still, there’s one number that should keep every American awake: 24 percent — nearly a quarter of the adult population — say there are times when political violence is justified.
