The latest batch of Jeffrey Epstein documents has dropped, and after all the hype, all the conspiracy teases, all the breathless media buildup… the only real news is that New York Times figures and left-wing author Michael Wolff were practically begging Epstein for dirt on Donald Trump — and still came up empty.
Naturally, the New York Times is now scrambling to distract from that embarrassing fact by publishing out-of-context emails that insinuate something but ultimately say nothing incriminating about Trump. Classic move: when you’re caught red-handed, release a shiny object.
According to the released emails, former NYT reporter Landon Thomas Jr. had a cozy relationship with Epstein. And what was he obsessed with? Two things: getting financial tips from a convicted pedophile… and taking down Donald Trump before the 2016 election.
That’s journalism in 2016 — and, frankly, in 2025.
Remember: these exchanges happened nearly a decade after Epstein had already been convicted of procuring child prostitutes in 2008. Meanwhile, Trump had banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago all the way back in 2007. Funny how that part never makes the headlines.
In February 2016, as Trump’s political rise started shaking the establishment, Thomas emailed Epstein:
“Its [sic] getting scary. The stories you could tell…”
By September, he was still at it:
“I am getting worried… Is he ever going to implode?”
Followed by:
“If you knew Trump was going to win, how would you position your portfolio?”
So a New York Times reporter was not only seeking dirt on Trump from Epstein — he was looking for stock tips too. Nothing says journalistic integrity quite like investment advice from a convicted predator.
Michael Wolff, the serial fabricator behind so many anti-Trump books, wasn’t any better. In 2016, he emailed Epstein:
“NYT called me about you and Trump. Also, Hillary campaign digging deeply. Again, you should consider preempting.”
Epstein’s reply?
“Lots of reporters.”
Translation: the media was circling him like vultures, desperately hoping he could help them take out Trump.
Wolff responded: “Yeah, you’re the Trump bullet.”
He continued pushing Epstein to go public, even claiming that if Epstein helped sink Trump, he’d gain “political cover” — which is quite an admission considering Epstein was already a convicted pedophile.
Wolff aggressively pushed a “strategic plan” to remake Epstein’s public identity, build media allies, and go after Trump. Nine days later, he even wrote:
“There’s an opportunity to come forward this week and talk about Trump in such a way that could garner you great sympathy and help finish him. Interested?”
Nothing like watching the self-appointed guardians of democracy openly conspire with a predator.
And yet, after all that groveling, begging, and scheming… they found nothing. Because there was nothing.
We now have tens of thousands of pages of Epstein files, and none of them show Trump doing anything wrong. Epstein’s most well-known accuser, the late Virginia Giuffre, even said Trump never touched her and never behaved inappropriately — didn’t even flirt.
If the Biden administration — which spent years weaponizing every legal avenue imaginable to attack Trump — had anything on him from the Epstein files, it would have been released instantly. The idea that Biden’s DOJ would protect Trump is laughable.
The truth is simple:
Trump cut ties with Epstein before Epstein was even convicted.
The New York Times and Michael Wolff, however, stayed cozy with him for years — hoping he could help them destroy Trump.
And now that their little secret is out, they’re desperate to spin it. But the documents don’t lie.
The only people caught chasing Epstein for dirt were the media — not Donald Trump.
And once again, the truth lands exactly where it always does: on Trump’s side.
