Susie Wiles: Trump Will Campaign for 2026 Midterms ‘Like It’s 2024 Again’

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles just made it official: President Donald J. Trump is gearing up to hit the 2026 midterms like it’s déjà vu from 2024 — and honestly, Democrats should probably start panicking now.

In an interview on The Mom View, Wiles talked about the jam-packed year ahead: America’s 250th anniversary, the 2026 Winter Olympics, and the FIFA World Cup. And yes, while the rest of the world will be watching sports, President Trump will be doing what he does best — energizing voters and reminding America who’s actually leading.

“This is such a great time for him to be in office,” Wiles said. “He’s such a patriot. He loves it so much.” She added that while Trump will enjoy the historic celebrations next year, he’s also going to be back out on the campaign trail. And thankfully, she warned him… well, almost.

Typically, political strategy says midterms should be localized — downplay the White House, focus on the districts, keep federal officials far away. But as Wiles explained, “We’re actually going to turn that on its head.” Translation: the usual playbook doesn’t apply when Trump is involved.

According to Wiles, Trump himself will become the ballot. Because low-propensity voters? Yeah, they’re Trump voters. And we all saw what happened “a week ago Tuesday” when he wasn’t on the ballot and wasn’t active. The results spoke for themselves — and not in a good way. Which is why, as Wiles joked, “I haven’t quite broken it to him yet, but he’s going to campaign like it’s 2024 again.”

Her comments came just after Rep. Matt Van Epps (R-TN) won a special election in Tennessee’s 7th District. Sure, Republicans held the seat — but according to the Associated Press, strategists saw “danger signs” because it shouldn’t have required that much effort or money. Apparently, some folks still haven’t figured out that Republican turnout thrives when Trump is front and center — and struggles when he’s not.

“For all these people he helps — he doesn’t help everybody, but for those he does, he’s a difference-maker,” Wiles added. And she’s right: Trump isn’t just a candidate. He’s a turnout machine.

If he campaigns “like it’s 2024 again,” Republicans will walk into 2026 with something Democrats can’t manufacture — real energy, real enthusiasm, and real leadership. The future is looking bright.
