WATCH: 'No Kings' Protesters at Massive NYC Rally Reveal Motivation for Taking to the Streets: 'Disgusting'

Well, here we go again. Thousands—at least 100,000, if you believe the reports—gathered in Times Square for a "No Kings" protest in New York City on Saturday. You’ve got to admire the commitment of these folks, marching down 7th Avenue with signs, chanting slogans, and, of course, blaming Trump for pretty much every societal ill imaginable.

One protester, Ed, who clearly has some strong opinions on the subject, told Fox News Digital, “Because I'm an American, and I learned from history, unlike a lot of other people in this country. History repeats itself.” Oh, how insightful. According to him, we’re heading toward a “slippery slope,” and if we don’t act fast, America will end up just like one of those "s---hole countries" Trump allegedly referred to. You know, the ones he apparently dreams of turning America into.

The protest was peaceful, thank goodness—though some of the signs were a little more colorful than others. One proudly declared, “No fuhrers,” with a swastika crossed out for good measure. Another one read, “ICE melts faster under pressure,” clearly pointing to the increasing violence against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Because, of course, that’s Trump’s fault, right?

Brad, another passionate protester, didn’t hold back either. He called the U.S. government a “fascist government,” alluding to the media as “fascist” too. As for Trump, according to Brad, he’s not a patriot or a representative of America. Nope, he’s just “hate” personified. “He stands for nothing like that. He stands for himself and his friends, not the great American people.” A little dramatic, but sure, okay.

Meanwhile, Nicole, recovering from cancer and dealing with her husband’s diagnosis, was particularly upset about health insurance issues. Apparently, she’s furious that the government can blow money on military operations abroad, but then take away health care and food from families. “It’s disgusting,” she said, as if it’s all part of some vast Trump conspiracy to personally ruin her life.

Laura, from Seattle, voiced her concerns too. On vacation in New York City, she felt it was absolutely necessary to join the protest. “If we don’t collectively get the message out, we might as well bend over,” she said, frustrated that Trump’s administration might invalidate her marriage. "That’s f----- bull----,” she added, a sentiment shared by many at the rally.

And let’s not forget the Antifa sticker incident. A man dressed in yellow placed one on a street sign during the protest, drawing attention to the fact that Antifa, an organization Trump labeled a domestic terrorist group earlier this year, was present and making their statement.

So, what’s all this "fascist" talk about? Well, according to Laura, Trump’s actions—circumventing the Constitution, allegedly undermining government checks and balances—prove that he’s strayed far from what America was supposed to be about. Apparently, his Cabinet, filled with people "with no experience, no intelligence, no consistency" (according to Laura), is just a "joke." So, yeah, that’s where we’re at.

Despite all the drama, it wasn’t just New York. Across the nation, cities saw similar protests, as anti-Trump activists tried to make their case: Trump is a "king" who’s grossly overstepping his authority. But Trump, of course, was having none of it, insisting to Fox News on Friday, “I’m not a king.” The audacity, right?

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson added her two cents, responding to whether National Guard units would be deployed to handle the crowds: “Who cares?” That’s the spirit! After all, you can’t take every protest too seriously.

In the end, despite all the noise, Trump remains unshaken. The protesters can shout and march all they want, but it’s clear the movement's real target is much more than just a man in office—it’s about their own vision of America. One that doesn’t quite align with the patriotic values that Trump embodies.
