The gloves are off in Michigan, where Democrat Senate nominee Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed has spent months launching vile, racially charged attacks on Vice President JD Vance's family. Now, Vance's own mother, Beverly Vance Adkins, has delivered a blunt, no-nonsense assessment of El-Sayed.
"I think that man’s an idiot," Adkins declared in an interview on OutKick’s Tomi Lahren is Fearless, pulling no punches.
Her powerful defense of her family didn't stop there. Speaking of her grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Usha Vance, Adkins said, "Those are my babies. I love those babies and would do anything for any of them. And I love Usha as if she were my own daughter. She’s one of the best, most genuine people I’ve ever met. And she loves my son, and she’s a good mother. And I don’t pay attention to people like [El-Sayed]."
Adkins believes El-Sayed’s venom stems from a darker place. "I think they’re jealous, honestly. I mean, JD is 42 years old. He’s handsome. He’s the vice president of the United States. He’s got a beautiful wife, four beautiful children, and jealousy is the only thing I can think of," she explained. "Yeah. So, I mean, he can take all the shots he wants. It’s going to go, you know, it’s going to get no merit from any of us."
While expressing anger — "I mean, it makes me mad, honestly, because he doesn’t know JD and he doesn’t know, you know, what type of person he is, and I do" — Adkins wisely added, "but in the long run, I’m not going to do anything about it. I mean, you know, I’d probably punch the guy if I ever seen him, and then that would get me in trouble. So, I’ll just go with the flow."
El-Sayed’s attacks have been nothing short of despicable. He audaciously questioned whether JD Vance would introduce his wife, Usha, to his late grandfather, Papaw, asking, "So do we think JD is taking Usha with him back in time to meet Papaw, or no?" The thinly veiled insinuation, of course, being that Vance’s family is inherently racist and would reject Usha due to her Indian heritage. He even urged Usha to "dump her husband," bizarrely claiming the Vice President has the "charisma of a doorknob" and the "aura of a toad."
In perhaps his most outrageous smear, El-Sayed went so far as to suggest Vance views his own mixed-race children as "less American."
Vice President Vance himself fired back earlier this week with a clear message for El-Sayed:
"My message to Abdul El-Sayed is: You can pal around with terrorist sympathizers, and you can say that America deserves 9/11, or you can empathize not with the children who were targeted at Temple Israel, but with the attacker. These are all despicable things, but they’re all things that the people of Michigan will judge you on based on your record."
"But whatever you want to talk about, Abdul — keep my wife’s name the hell out of your mouth, because she’s way out of your league."
El-Sayed’s campaign of racial division isn't just an attack on Vance’s family; it’s a grotesque attempt to smear all hardworking Americans, particularly those who support the America First movement, as inherently racist. He brazenly insinuates that white Americans would never accept a non-white person into their families—a lie refuted by the everyday reality across our nation.
This kind of common-sense observation often goes unnoticed by the establishment media, but it's the lived experience in America. For example, in many communities across the South, including small neighborhoods, it’s common to see numerous families, including my own, with mixed-race children and grandchildren. This is not a political talking point; it's simply the way life is for truly colorblind Americans, until a race-obsessed leftist like El-Sayed weaponizes identity politics.
It’s clear who the real divider is. El-Sayed, with his calculated attacks and history of dubious remarks, is the one eager to inject racial animosity where none exists. He is the one projecting his own divisive worldview onto others. His disgusting rhetoric against a man’s wife, children, and even deceased grandfather reveals a character lacking in decency and honor. And somehow, they still expect Americans not to notice the hypocrisy.
As has been noted before, the "utopia" of clean, safe, and racially tolerant communities that the radical left often claims to champion already exists in MAGA Country, far from the chaos and division propagated by Democrat-run cities and their ideological allies. When figures like El-Sayed launch such cynical attacks, they reveal not the flaws of their opponents, but the bankruptcy of their own divisive agenda, which seeks to tear apart the very fabric of American families and values.
