U.S. Central Command announced Thursday the launch of Task Force Falcon Strike, the military's first-ever multi-domain, multinational attack drone unit designed to deploy one-way strike systems across the air, surface, and underwater domains.

The new task force represents a significant operational expansion following months of Iranian drone strikes targeting American military bases and high-value infrastructure across Gulf nations. According to CENTCOM commanders, the unit will utilize advanced one-way attack drones operated jointly by U.S. military support personnel alongside regional partner forces to establish a unified deterrent across maritime and aerial corridors in the Middle East.

Falcon Strike builds directly upon the operational foundation laid by Task Force Scorpion Strike, a dedicated drone unit established nine months ago as the American military's initial one-way attack drone squadron in the region. U.S. Navy Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, emphasized that the initiative will harness rapid technological innovation among regional allies, integrating shared capabilities to expand tactical options against state-sponsored threats and rogue actors.
