Now, a stunning revelation from an unlikely source threatens to blow the lid off yet another scandal of alleged media manipulation and deep-state control.
Terry Moran, a self-described liberal journalist, hardly a "right-wing bomb-thrower," is best known for being ousted from left-leaning ABC News after an unprofessional outburst aimed at President Trump’s then-White House deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller. His progressive credentials make his recent confession all the more damning.
During a revealing appearance on The Fifth Column podcast, Moran dropped a bombshell: Dr. Fauci was allegedly responsible for his "only experience of the heavy hand of censorship" during his tenure at ABC News.
Moran described how, in early 2021, he and his team diligently investigated the COVID-19 lab-leak theory, crafting a segment that thoughtfully analyzed arguments both for and against it. What came back after network "top brass" reviewed his work was, in Moran’s own words, "incomprehensible."
"I was told: 'Fauci,'" Moran recalled, a chilling indictment of the power wielded by one unelected bureaucrat over what the American public was allowed to see and hear. He added, "I’ve never watched that story [again] and I never want to. Because it wasn’t mine, and most importantly, because it was incomprehensible."
Moran further alleged that "an organized campaign" to smear the lab-leak theory as "racist" was the true mechanism that "really silenced" dissenters within the media. He pointed directly to ABC News’ "standards people" who "took that absolutely to heart and it was not going to be discussed." All, he stressed, due to the dictates of one man: "Fauci."
This explosive account comes on the heels of another deeply troubling development: in one of his final, self-serving acts, former President Joe Biden extended a sweeping pardon to Fauci, shielding him from any federal offenses committed between 2014 and early 2025. This move now looks less like a gesture of goodwill and more like a desperate attempt to protect a narrative, especially given that Moran’s revelation could expose Fauci to perjury charges for any current lies.
Indeed, Fauci himself appeared before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic in June 2024, brazenly stating in his opening remarks that the "accusation that I tried to cover up the possibility that the virus originated from a lab" was "false." He even asserted, "In fact, the truth is exactly the opposite."
The opposite, Dr. Fauci? How can it be the "opposite" when a respected, if left-leaning, journalist describes your direct alleged intervention to gut a factual report on the lab-leak theory, rendering it "incomprehensible"? This smacks of a deliberate attempt to control the narrative, not to uncover the truth.
Furthermore, why did Fauci play such a pivotal role in promoting an article that dismissed the lab-leak theory as early as February 2020? An article, conveniently, that he would later repeatedly cite as "unbiased authority" on the topic. The hypocrisy is staggering.
Perhaps this is why the ex-chief medical adviser spent hours pleading the Fifth Amendment before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee just last month. After all, Biden’s pardon doesn’t grant immunity for perjury concerning statements made after the pardon’s effective date. The truth, it seems, is still a dangerous adversary for Fauci.
Moran’s powerful anecdote, if fully corroborated, offers terrifying insight into the corrupt relationship between figures of unchecked power like Fauci and a compliant, biased media. Instead of seeking on-the-record comments and allowing the public to weigh arguments, ABC News appears to have granted Fauci de facto veto power, essentially crowning him editor-in-chief without any transparency regarding his influence.
The question isn't "what were they thinking?" The question is: why did they allow it?
Fauci, a high-ranking government official, had every motive to mislead at the time of the alleged rewrite. This is the same man who openly championed the notion of a "noble lie" and exhibited what many describe as "reality-warping delusions of grandeur." His perspective demanded interrogation, not elevation.
Yet, the corporate press, beholden to its own inexplicable liberal biases, elevated Fauci’s perspective above all others.
