House Oversight Drops 34,000 Epstein Documents—Finally Some Transparency

The House Oversight Committee just released a mountain of Jeffrey Epstein files—nearly 34,000 pages—on Tuesday night. Yes, thousands of pages. And before anyone on the Left gets too excited, no, this wasn’t some random leak. This is part of Chairman James Comer’s push to hold the Department of Justice accountable and finally dig into what really happened with Epstein and his circle of very powerful “friends.”

The dump includes DOJ interviews with Ghislaine Maxwell, police body-cam footage from the 2005–06 Palm Beach investigation, and video from inside Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion. It even contains footage from outside Epstein’s jail cell in New York and DOJ emails laying out the timeline of his final hours. You know, the part where guards somehow “forgot” to check on him every 30 minutes, leaving him alone in his cell until breakfast—what a coincidence. But don’t worry, the authorities said it was “suicide.” Sure.

Epstein’s brother Mark isn’t buying it either. “There is no news there. I’d rather see the tape in the morning when they took his body off of the tier,” he told Fox News Digital. Translation: spare us the fluff, show the real evidence. Hard to argue with him on that one.

Chairman Comer made it clear this is the most thorough investigation to date. His committee already deposed former Attorney General Bill Barr, and the DOJ has handed over tens of thousands of pages—with more to come. Democrats, of course, are playing their usual games. Rep. Robert Garcia insisted that “97%” of the files were already public, while Rep. Summer Lee whined that the Trump DOJ had “every incentive to not comply.” Because obviously, blaming Trump is their default setting.

Meanwhile, Republicans are staying focused. Comer emphasized his panel is already ahead of the discharge petition pushed by Rep. Thomas Massie and Democrat Ro Khanna, saying, “We’re going to go beyond it. We’re already getting the documents from the administration.” And he’s backing it up with subpoenas to Loretta Lynch, James Comey, and—wait for it—Bill and Hillary Clinton. Now that’s a subpoena list worth watching.

At the end of the day, Americans deserve the truth. For years, elites have treated Epstein’s crimes like some unspeakable mystery that polite society isn’t supposed to talk about. But thanks to a Republican-led House determined to shine a light where others want darkness, the facts are finally being dragged into the open. And sunlight, as they say, is the best disinfectant.
