Well, this is rich. Just as White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced she would be stepping away from her demanding role to focus on her young family, who should emerge to cast judgment but none other than Jen Psaki, the architect of the infamous "circle back" era under Joe Biden?

Psaki, whose tenure behind the White House briefing podium from 2021-2022 made her a national laughingstock with her endlessly evasive non-answers, now fancies herself an authority on how a press secretary should conduct business. On her MS NOW program, Psaki launched an unhinged attack on Leavitt, claiming she didn't engage the media "in good faith" and somehow "reshaped" the White House Briefing Room "into her own personal safe space."

"The relationship between the press and the White House is supposed to be adversarial by design," Psaki pontificated on the network formerly known as MSNBC. "The press in the room are supposed to push for more access, for more information... But Karoline Leavitt didn’t want to engage in good faith with those reporters and their tough questions."

Psaki continued her self-serving critique, suggesting Leavitt made the briefing room "her own personal safe space where she rarely had to answer a tough question, hardly ever. I mean, she only briefed once or twice a week, max."

Not content with that, Psaki then doubled down, accusing Leavitt of "lying repeatedly in her role" and stating she "only served one man: Trump." According to Psaki, Leavitt's job "has been about telling the version of the truth according to the serial liar who sits in the Oval Office. Reporters in the room don’t matter. The American people who rely on the reporting from the reporters in the room [don’t] matter, she’s never seen her job as working for the American people as a public servant."

One might recall that Jen Psaki herself spent years peddling the transparent fiction that Joe Biden was a vibrant, mentally sharp leader. She once incredibly claimed the then-78-year-old president was so energetic she struggled to keep up with him – a claim that stands in stark contrast to Biden’s increasingly frequent public stumbles and confused remarks. Even after exiting the White House, Psaki maintained she had never witnessed any diminished capacity, essentially becoming the chief enabler of a narrative the vast majority of Americans now plainly see as false.

Given that resume, Psaki is hardly in a position to lecture anyone on truth or the "integrity" of a press secretary’s role. But the truth always has a way of catching up.
