You almost have to laugh. Arizona Democrat Rep. Yassamin Ansari thought she was making some kind of noble stand by declaring that illegal immigrants sitting in ICE detention are her “constituents.” Yes, you read that right—according to her, criminals who broke into our country are on the same level as taxpaying American citizens who actually elect her.

Ansari doubled, tripled, and now practically quadrupled down on her nonsense, telling reporters she even had to Google the word “constituent.” You can’t make this up. Her new definition? “Anybody who lives in the community, doesn’t matter what their legal status is.” Then she topped it off with this gem: “I don’t care if none of these individuals can vote for me; I don’t give a s**t.”

Wow. Nothing says “respect for American democracy” like a congresswoman proudly admitting she doesn’t care if the people she claims to represent can’t even legally vote for her.

Thankfully, Rep. Pat Harrigan (R-NC) set the record straight. He blasted her with the obvious: “Constituents are hardworking American citizens, the people who elect you. Not illegal aliens. Not asylum shoppers.” Exactly. Americans vote, pay taxes, and serve this country. Illegals are breaking the law, and the fact that Democrats keep siding with them tells you everything you need to know.

Ansari tried to play the sympathy card with a supposed “constituent,” a woman named Arbella Rodriguez Marquez. Ansari claimed this woman had leukemia, was denied medical care, and was suffering in detention. DHS and Harrigan exposed that story as a flat-out lie. In reality? She’s been seen by medical staff at least 13 times, cleared every time, and—wait for it—was actually arrested for smuggling an illegal alien with fake documents. Some “innocent victim,” huh?

So let’s recap: Ansari sides with smugglers, invents medical sob stories, calls illegals her “constituents,” and admits she doesn’t care if they can’t vote. Meanwhile, DHS records and Republican colleagues keep proving her wrong, again and again.

The contrast couldn’t be clearer. Republicans like Harrigan are fighting for citizens—for Americans. Democrats like Ansari are bending over backwards for lawbreakers, cartels, and anyone but the people who actually make this country run.

And come 2026, voters are going to remember exactly which side their so-called representatives were really on.
