Trump: Mexico’s President Too Scared to Take on Cartels

President Donald Trump isn’t pulling punches. In an interview with The Daily Caller, he said what most people already know but few dare to admit: Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is too scared to take on her nation’s powerful drug cartels. Trump offered to send U.S. military support to help crush the flow of fentanyl and other deadly drugs pouring across the border. Her answer? A timid “no thanks.” Why? In Trump’s words: “Because she’s scared. … She’s very scared.”

Trump, always the straight shooter, made it clear: “Mexico is run by the cartels. It’s run by the cartels.” Hard to argue when cartel bosses like Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada admit under oath to bribing police, military commanders, and politicians. But apparently, Sheinbaum thinks her government is squeaky clean. She insists there’s “no proof” of politicians or military officials tied to the cartels. Right. And Chicago is “safe” under Democrat leadership.

Interestingly, Trump still had kind words for Sheinbaum, calling her “a lovely woman” and even “very elegant, beautiful.” Respectful? Yes. But admiration doesn’t change reality. A president who’s too frightened to fight criminals controlling her own country is a president failing her people.

Meanwhile, Trump reminded Americans that under his administration, cartels were labeled foreign terrorist organizations and treated like the global threats they are. He’s been crystal clear: America won’t sit back and let cartels poison our communities. If Mexico’s leaders won’t act, Trump is more than willing to step in and do what needs to be done.

That’s the difference between weakness and strength, fear and courage. And once again, Trump shows he’s not afraid to call it as it is—and more importantly, to act. Because at the end of the day, protecting lives, both in the U.S. and across the border, is what real leadership looks like.
