Trump Praises Hungary’s Immigration Policy, Calls Out Europe’s “Flood” of Migrants

Once again, President Donald J. Trump is saying what everyone else is too afraid to admit: borders matter. During Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s visit to the White House, Trump praised Hungary’s tough stance on immigration, pointing out how it’s kept crime low and communities safe—something Europe desperately needs to relearn.

“Look what’s happened to Europe,” Trump said. “They have people flooding Europe all over the place. And it’s hurting it. The crime rates are way up… His crime rates are very low.” In other words, when you defend your borders, you defend your people. Shocking concept, right?

Trump didn’t hold back: “They were wrong. They are flooding Europe with people from all over the world. And Europe is becoming a different place.” He’s right—because uncontrolled migration doesn’t just change borders, it changes culture, security, and the rule of law. “You better stop,” Trump warned, “or you’re not going to have Europe anymore.”

Orbán, never one to mince words either, proudly explained Hungary’s simple and effective policy: “Illegal migration is like that—zero. Zero because we have a crystal-clear system… Nobody can step on the territory of Hungary without permission from Hungarian authorities.” Imagine that—clear laws, enforced consistently. Something Washington could learn from.

And get this: Hungary is being punished for protecting its own borders. Orbán said his country is being fined a staggering €1 million per day by the European Union for refusing to open its doors to illegal migrants. “This is the absurd world we are living in now in Europe,” he said. You know it’s bad when doing the right thing gets you sanctioned.

Trump made it clear that Orbán’s courage is exactly what the world needs: “Viktor’s had a very hard stance… He literally has accepted no one over the years. Think of how much greater these countries would be if they didn’t have the tremendous crime that has come in with immigration.”

And Trump reminded everyone that America, under his leadership, is already doing what works: “We’ve done that here. We have zero people coming in now. The borders are closed. We take people, but we take them legally. We’re moving hundreds of thousands, millions of people out.”

That’s leadership. That’s common sense.

While Europe buckles under the weight of open borders and political correctness, Trump and Orbán are standing firm for sovereignty, safety, and sanity. Because a nation that can’t control its borders isn’t a nation at all—and both men know it.
