Trump Slams Minnesota Democrats for Anti-ICE Fight, Says It’s a Distraction From Massive Fraud

President Donald Trump didn’t mince words Sunday as he took aim at Minnesota Democrats, accusing them of exploiting opposition to federal immigration enforcement to divert attention from what he described as a massive fraud scandal in the state.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump defended Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations, pointing out that ICE is removing “some of the most violent criminals in the world” and sending them back to where they came from. He then posed a question that many Americans are already asking on their own: why, exactly, is Minnesota fighting that?

“Do they really want murderers and drug dealers to be ensconced in their community?” Trump wrote, calling out the protests surrounding ICE operations. According to the president, many of those demonstrating aren’t grassroots activists at all, but “highly paid professional agitators and anarchists.” Because nothing says “community values” quite like hired chaos.

Trump went further, arguing that the outrage over ICE is politically convenient. He accused Minnesota’s leadership — including what he referred to as a “crooked governor” and Rep. Ilhan Omar — of being perfectly fine with the unrest because it shifts attention away from what he called more than $18 billion in fraud within the state.

“The crooked governor and ‘Congresswoman’ Omar, who married her brother, don’t mind because it keeps the focus of attention off the 18 billion dollar, plus, FRAUD, that has taken place in the state!” Trump wrote, adding a clear warning: “Don’t worry, we’re on it!”

The message was vintage Trump — blunt, unapologetic, and focused on law and order. While Democrats rally against ICE, Trump made it clear he’s focused on removing violent criminals and holding government officials accountable for corruption. And as he’s reminded supporters time and again, distractions may work for politicians, but results are what matter.

In the end, the president’s message was simple: protecting communities and exposing fraud go hand in hand. And with Trump watching closely, Minnesotans — and the rest of the country — can expect accountability to stay firmly on the agenda.
