Trump: “We’re Going In” to Save Chicago From Itself

President Donald Trump didn’t hold back Tuesday, announcing he will send National Guard troops to Chicago—a city he bluntly (and correctly) described as a “hellhole” plagued by gun crime. And he’s right. When 20 people are killed and 75 shot in less than three weeks, that’s not a city, that’s a war zone. Democrats may call it “home,” but families there are living under siege.

“We’re going in,” Trump told reporters, also hinting that Baltimore, another Democrat-run disaster, could be next. Of course, the media instantly cried politics, claiming Trump was targeting blue cities. His response? Straightforward: “This isn’t a political thing. I have an obligation.” Imagine that—a president putting lives ahead of politics. No wonder the Left is furious.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, predictably, accused Trump of planning an “invasion” and insisted “crime is down” in Chicago. Really? Tell that to the dozens of families burying their loved ones after another bloody weekend. Pritzker’s math skills must come from the same people running Chicago’s broken schools. Meanwhile, Trump posted on Truth Social: “Chicago is the worst and most dangerous city in the World, by far. Pritzker needs help badly, he just doesn’t know it yet.” Spot on.

Trump pointed to Washington, D.C., where he deployed the Guard in August, declaring the city “a safe zone” with “no crime.” You know what that’s called? Results. The very thing Democrat mayors and governors never seem able to deliver.

Sure, a San Francisco judge tried to slow Trump down with legal handwringing, warning about “a national police force.” Because apparently, saving lives is terrifying—unless you’re a liberal judge with lifetime job security. But the Supreme Court may have the final say, and with its conservative majority, the Constitution—and common sense—stand a fighting chance.

Meanwhile, protesters in Chicago hit the streets chanting their tired slogans at a “Workers over Billionaires” rally. They’d rather scream about “resisting” than face the truth: their city is bleeding, and President Trump is the only one willing to stop it.

At the end of the day, Trump’s message is clear: Americans deserve safe streets, no matter what liberal politicians or activist judges say. Chicago’s days as America’s murder capital are numbered—because Trump has no intention of sitting back while innocent lives are lost. That’s called leadership. And that’s why hope is finally on the way.
