Congressman Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ) blasted former Biden medical advisor Anthony Fauci after the Department of Energy recently accepted the lab-leak theory of Covid origins as the most likely explanation for the initial spread of the virus.
Van Drew began by focusing on the censorship of the “lab leak theory,” blasting Dr. Fauci and big tech as “people who do not like to tell the truth.” He proposes they should have enabled a “thorough” discussion of the virus. Instead, Fauci allowed for the mass censorship Americans experienced for even discussing the possibility of a Chinese lab leak.
Van Drew then turned to the Republican response, which will hopefully be thorough and robust.
“Well, we’re going to dig in the House of Representatives. The House really wants to know true answers,” Van Drew told Fox News’ ‘Fox And Friends’ this Monday. “These are some of the things we talked about even during the campaign. It’s enough. People are tired. They want a government that tells them the truth. They want a government that works for them. We don’t work for the government. I hate to say it this way, but this is sick stuff. “
On Sunday, the Wall Street Journal reported that the Energy Department made a “low confidence” assessment that the virus was initially leaked from a Chinese lab. Nonetheless, the DC Enquirer adds, “the origins of Covid-19 are still up in the air amongst the intelligence community, however. Thus far both the FBI and the Energy Department have concluded that its origin was manmade, however, four other agencies argue that it evolved naturally.”
Van Drew continued, saying, “it’s been lie after lie, misinformation after misinformation. And it’s about time we crack this egg open and really find what’s actually going on. And you know what’s most hurtful, not only did the Chinese and we know the real truth, poison the world and the United States, I mean, let’s just tell the truth.”
Van Drew ended, claiming, “hopefully it was an accident. But not only did they do this, but they lied about it. And we have an administration that doesn’t have the guts to go forward and get the truth out of them. And we paid for that part of it all. We paid for the damn lab.”
