According to the Daily Mail, Moore was photographed on George Clooney’s yacht in Italy, lounging in swim trunks alongside his wife. Meanwhile, back home, Maryland residents are left dealing with skyrocketing crime. But hey, priorities, right?

Clooney, who has openly floated Moore as a possible Democratic presidential candidate, must be thrilled. After all, nothing screams “serious leader” like sipping cocktails on the Mediterranean while your constituents are ducking bullets in Baltimore.

Even the White House wasn’t buying Moore’s excuse. When reporters pressed Moore’s office for details, they offered the weakest spin imaginable: “The Governor paid for a trip to celebrate his wife’s 50th birthday.” That’s nice—but Maryland families don’t get to put crime on pause so their governor can pop champagne with Hollywood millionaires.

This is the modern Democratic Party in a nutshell: lectures about “equity” at home while enjoying yachts and villas abroad. And they wonder why Americans are fed up. The good news?
