Democrats must be running out of ideas, because their latest obsession is trying to impeach every Trump cabinet member they can name before lunch. This time, Rep. Delia Ramirez of Illinois sent a letter to the House Judiciary Committee demanding a “complete investigation” into Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, accusing her of everything from “misused resources” to “false and misleading statements” about immigration enforcement. In other words: standard Democrat copy-and-paste accusations.
Ramirez insists that Noem’s actions “violate her oath of office,” claiming there’s a “pattern of lawless behavior.” Of course. Democrats have discovered “lawless behavior” now that Trump is in office again — what convenient timing.
The White House, however, wasn’t interested in playing along. Spokesperson Abigail Jackson dismissed the letter as exactly what it is: a meaningless political stunt designed to distract from the administration’s extremely inconvenient success deporting dangerous criminal illegal aliens.
“Democrats will do anything to try and stop the Administration from deporting dangerous criminal illegal aliens,” Jackson said in a statement to RedState. “No amount of pointless PR stunts from the Left will distract us from fulfilling the President’s promise to the American people.”
And she didn’t stop there: “While Democrats side with dangerous criminal illegal aliens, the Trump Administration will always side with the American people.” A statement that, frankly, speaks for itself.
If Democrats seem unusually eager to hit the impeachment button, that’s because they are. Noem is the third Trump cabinet member targeted for impeachment this week. Remember when impeachment was reserved for “high crimes and misdemeanors” instead of “things a Democrat didn’t like before breakfast”? Simpler times.
Just yesterday, Rep. Haley Stevens introduced articles of impeachment against HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., upset that he supposedly “turned his back on science.” This is coming from the same congresswoman whose pink-latex-glove meltdown went viral in 2020. So, yes, the irony is alive and well.
Not wanting to be overshadowed, Rep. Shri Thanedar filed impeachment articles against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday, accusing him of “murder,” “conspiracy,” and mishandling classified information over Signalgate and an alleged “double tap” strike on a suspected narco-terrorist drug boat. Delivering such accusations with a straight face — and with what looked suspiciously like a muskrat on his head — must have taken real effort.
And of course, no week of Democrat theatrics would be complete without Rep. Al Green attempting to impeach President Trump again. As usual, the House tabled his resolution 237–140, with dozens of Democrats refusing to even take a real position. Still, it counts as yet another attempt — meaning Democrats have tried to impeach the President and three cabinet officials in the span of a few days.
Republicans continue to swiftly table these resolutions thanks to their majority, but Democrats aren’t just acting out for attention. They’re laying the groundwork. If they regain the House in 2026, every one of these impeachment fantasies becomes a ready-to-go playbook — and yes, a few Republicans would undoubtedly help them.
But for now, the White House isn’t blinking, the administration is doing its job, and Democrats are left throwing tantrums on paper. A pretty solid week, all things considered.
