The White House is dispatching Vice President JD Vance to Pennsylvania next week, doubling down on President Donald Trump’s nationwide push to remind Americans who actually fixed the affordability crisis — and who caused it in the first place.
Vance will deliver remarks near Allentown on Dec. 16, just days after Trump’s high-energy stop in Wilkes-Barre, where the president kicked off a year-long blitz to highlight his economic agenda and expose the Democrats’ affordability narrative for what it is: a political hoax crafted to distract from the mess they left behind.
A spokesperson for Vance told the Daily Caller the message will be crystal clear:
Trump reversed the affordability disaster created by Democrats — and he’s not done yet.
“From historic working family tax cuts to over $18 trillion in investment brought back to America, the Trump economic agenda is only getting started,” the spokesperson said. “Expect Vice President Vance to emphasize that making America affordable again is the #1 priority of this administration.”
Trump: Democrats Created the Crisis — Then Pretend They’re Solving It
At Tuesday’s rally, Trump reminded voters that everyday prices have come down under his leadership, especially food staples — including eggs, which became a national punchline during Biden’s inflation nightmare.
Trump also hammered Democrats for trying to rebrand their own failures as a Republican challenge. The “affordability crisis,” he said, is the direct product of Biden-era inflation, reckless spending, and regulatory overkill — and Democrats are pretending to care about affordability only because they can’t say inflation without reminding voters of Biden’s 40-year economic meltdown.
Vance is expected to double down on that same message:
Democrats caused the crisis.
Trump is cleaning it up.
And the numbers back it.
Democrats Won Races on the Issue They Created
After November’s elections — where Democrats clung to a few victories by campaigning on affordability — Republicans began recalibrating their messaging to make the obvious point: Democrats warning about affordability is like an arsonist showing up at the fire with a garden hose and demanding applause.
A recent Politico poll shows 46% of Americans say the cost of living is the worst they can remember. Even among Trump’s 2024 voters, 37% agree. In other words, the Biden hangover is real, and it hasn’t worn off yet.
Remember “Bidenomics”? Biden Doesn’t.
Biden spent much of his presidency touring the country bragging about “Bidenomics,” insisting the economy was thriving while Americans were shoving back cheaper store-brand groceries and choosing between rent and medication. When voters overwhelmingly rejected the sales pitch, the White House quietly retired the term — like it never existed.
Trump, meanwhile, delivered actual results.
He even told a hilarious but pointed story Tuesday about how Americans were resorting to plastic Easter eggs last year because inflation made real eggs a luxury item. Trump vowed the U.S. would return to normal — and Brooke Rollins at the USDA delivered.
