He’s been lauded as a "fresh-faced wunderkind" and an "irresistible force," whose radical ideas, we’re told, are somehow destined to capture the hearts and minds of mainstream America. It’s a narrative peddled relentlessly by those who refuse to acknowledge the true pulse of the nation.

But like many of the left's carefully constructed fictions, this one just hit a brick wall. A new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll has delivered a brutal dose of reality, exposing the uncomfortable truth: Americans don’t actually like Mamdani very much. Not only is his "progressive appeal" far from universal, but he's being utterly outmatched in the court of public opinion.

The poll, which also brought good news for Republicans — showing the GOP leading Democrats 51-49 among likely voters on the generic congressional ballot — contained a particularly revealing nugget that should send shivers down the spine of the radical left. Tucked away in the numbers, like a cruel joke, is the undeniable fact that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is more popular with Americans than Mayor Mamdani.

Let that sink in. Netanyahu, a leader relentlessly demonized by Mamdani and his progressive ilk, a man they routinely accuse of "genocide" and "war crimes," registered a net favorability rating of minus 10 in the survey. Far from stellar, to be sure. But then there’s Mamdani, the darling of the socialist set, clocking in at an even worse minus 14.

This isn't just a political setback; it's a profound humiliation. The socialist mayor of America's largest city, who has made a career out of vilifying foreign leaders and pushing extremist agendas, is less liked than the very man he once vowed to arrest. Yes, this is the same Mayor Mamdani who, with an almost comical lack of self-awareness, promised to personally arrest Netanyahu if the Prime Minister dared to step foot in New York City, only to later admit he had no legal authority to do so. He continues his inflammatory rhetoric, urging the federal government to arrest Netanyahu as a "war criminal."

The irony is simply delicious. Americans, it turns out, prefer the leader Mamdani wants to haul off in handcuffs to Mamdani himself. It’s a clear message to the progressive echo chamber: their preferred figures and extreme ideologies are deeply out of step with the common sense of the American public.

While the focus remains on Mamdani's abysmal standing, it’s worth noting that other figures like Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Secretary of State Marco Rubio showed positive favorability. These figures, who represent a different path than Mamdani's socialist vision, resonate far more positively with voters, indicating a broader thirst for leadership aligned with American values.

For Zohran Mamdani and the progressive media complex that championed him, the message from this poll is unambiguous. When Benjamin Netanyahu, a figure they’ve relentlessly targeted, is still beating you in a popularity contest with the American public, you are not, in fact, the future. You are a stark reminder of how disconnected the radical left has become from the very people they claim to represent. America First demands leaders who reflect the will and values of the nation, not those who merely echo fringe activist mantras.
