‘This Is What You F*cking Wanted’: Pro-ICE Supporter Beaten as Anti-ICE Riots Erupt in Minneapolis

Left-wing rioters targeted pro-ICE counter-protesters Saturday in Minneapolis, turning yet another so-called “protest” into outright violence. Video footage shows anti-ICE demonstrators attacking a counter-protester, beating him with a flagpole and leaving him bleeding as chaos continued in the streets.

The violence followed a tense week after an ICE agent shot an illegal immigrant from Venezuela during a targeted enforcement operation Wednesday, after the agent was ambushed. The incident came just one week after another ICE agent fatally shot Renee Nicole Good during a Jan. 7 immigration enforcement operation — events that radical activists quickly used as fuel for unrest.

Video recorded by Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Jorge Ventura shows anti-ICE rioters striking a counter-protester with a flagpole while shouting, “This is what you f*cking wanted!” The footage shows the victim walking away with what appeared to be a head wound as rioters continued to pursue him, repeatedly hitting him and vandalizing property, including a parking garage. So much for “mostly peaceful.”

The assaulted protester had joined independent journalist Jake Lang at a protest highlighting welfare fraud allegedly perpetrated by Somali migrants — fraud that federal officials estimate has cost U.S. taxpayers at least $9 billion. That protest was met by rioters attending an event hosted by the People’s Action Coalition Against Trump, a group reportedly funded by left-wing billionaire George Soros, according to the New York Post. Once again, follow the money.

Multiple videos posted to X by independent journalists, including Nick Sortor and Cam Higby, showed anti-ICE rioters deliberately targeting attendees of Lang’s event. Higby, who survived a mob attack earlier in the week, publicly blamed Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for allowing the violence to spiral out of control.

“HEY TIM, YOUR GUARDSMAN ARE HERE. WHY ARE THEY STANDING DOWN?” Higby wrote on X, calling for accountability from state and city leadership. Sortor echoed the criticism, posting that Minneapolis police finally arrived after more than an hour of rioting, adding, “Always too little, too late.”

Additional footage captured anti-ICE rioters screaming profanities at law enforcement officers, while a photo showed a masked individual holding what appeared to be an AR-15-style pistol while sitting on a Nissan Sentra — a sobering image amid claims that these demonstrations are about “peace” and “justice.”

What unfolded in Minneapolis wasn’t activism — it was lawlessness. As President Trump has consistently argued, enforcing immigration law and backing law enforcement are not extremist positions; they are the foundation of a functioning country. With firm leadership and a renewed commitment to public safety, Americans can still restore order, protect free speech, and ensure that the rule of law — not mob rule — prevails.
