We reported earlier on the heartbreaking and powerful words of Rachel Morin’s mother Patty Morin at the White House briefing on Wednesday. Morin explained the horrendous way in which her daughter had been killed by an illegal alien. She said in her mind this wasn’t a political question dealing with the question of criminal illegal aliens, it was a question of national security to protect Americans, to protect our children.
Morin also called out Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD). Van Hollen made a grandstanding play of going to El Salvador over illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia. She said she couldn’t understand his actions.
One of the things that media never reports on is how President Donald Trump doesn’t just believe in these policies, but he also has embraced the families who have suffered. He did again, after Morin’s comments. He had her into the Oval Office and hugged her, you can hear her say, “You’ve become a dear friend.” He tells reporters she’s been through hell and tells Morin her daughter is “looking down on her” and that she’s “proud of you.”
That’s Trump and the White House, while the Democrats go to El Salvador to try to bring back an illegal alien alleged MS-13 gang member. There’s a disconnect and sharp contrast there. Democrats don’t seem to get how on the wrong side of things they are.
Van Hollen issued a brief statement acknowledging the death of her daughter but blaming Republicans. He never reached out to her or advocated for her or her daughter, an actual citizen and constituent of his.
Meanwhile, media like CNN and MSNBC failed to cover Morin’s powerful remarks.
Morinās remarks were noticeably absent from CNN and MSNBC.
During Morinās speech, MSNBC instead aired coverage of Sen. Bernie Sandersā(I-VT) rally in Montana, along with an interview with Puck News chief political columnist John Heilemann. Meanwhile, CNN aired a panel discussion about California Gov. Gavin Newsom, along with a news segment on the NBA.
White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung nuked their failure to concentrate on what’s important.
Meanwhile, they’ve spent a ton of time on the plight of the illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
She begged the media in the White House briefing room to “tell the truth.” But some don’t want to tell the story at all.
It’s things like this that make you understand why the Democrats have 21 percent approval and people no longer trust the media.
