Trump’s Former Border Chief Tom Homan Delivers Fiery Speech Amid Protester Disruption at TPUSA Summit
Former Trump administration border enforcement leader Tom Homan electrified the audience at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit on Saturday night, following a tense exchange with a heckler that only fueled his hardline message.
“Are you an MS-13 member?” the heckler shouted—a pointed jab referencing the violent Salvadoran gang central to Trump-era immigration crackdowns.
Unfazed, Homan responded with a bold vow:
“Tom Homan is going to run the biggest deportation operation this country has ever seen. Take it to the bank.”
His defiant promise ignited chants of “U-S-A! U-S-A!” as he exited the stage.
Just five minutes into his remarks, the interruption by the heckler—who was quickly removed by security—set the tone for the remainder of Homan’s uncompromising address.
Addressing anti-ICE protests that took place nationwide, including demonstrations outside the Tampa, Florida venue, Homan challenged his critics directly:
“You want some? Come get some,” he declared. “I’m tired of it. For the men and women of ICE—I demand your respect. They are the finest 1% this nation has. And Tom Homan isn’t going anywhere. Tom Homan isn’t shutting up.”

When the heckler asked Homan if he was an MS-13 member, referencing the Salvadoran transnational criminal gang that has been targeted through Trump’s deportation rollout, Homan said federal immigration officers are dealing with these types of detractors on a daily basis.
“This guy wouldn’t know what it’s like to serve this nation. This guy ain’t got the b—- to be an ICE officer. He hasn’t got the b—- to be a border patrol agent,” Homan continued, as the crowd cheered him on.
As the heckler was escorted out, Homan added, “This guy lives in his mother’s basement. The only thing that surprised me is [he] doesn’t have purple hair and a nose ring. Get out of here, you loser.”

While the audience rallied behind him, Homan assured attendees that ICE agents would remain undeterred:
“We’re going to do the job President Trump gave us to do.”
He lamented what he described as growing animosity toward immigration enforcement agents:
“I’ve never seen such hate directed at the men and women of ICE and the Border Patrol. But these protesters wouldn’t have the courage to wear the badge and do the job.”

Though Homan said he hadn’t seen any demonstrators when he arrived, protests had already begun outside the summit, with crowds rejecting Trump’s immigration agenda and his enforcement tactics.
Saturday’s demonstrations followed recent unrest in Los Angeles, where protests against ICE devolved into riots. The tension comes in the wake of Trump signing his controversial immigration reform package—referred to by supporters as his “big, beautiful bill”— into law last Friday. The legislation has sparked incidents, including reported ambushes in Texas and clashes at the ICE facility in Portland, Oregon.
Homan, never one to mince words, warned the crowd at the outset that his remarks would be blunt:
“Sometimes, I’m harsh. But if I offend anybody here tonight, I don’t give a s—.”
He ended his speech by praising Trump’s immigration policy, contrasting it with the Biden administration:
“Under his leadership, we achieved the most secure border in the history of the nation—and we did that in seven weeks. President Trump accomplished in seven weeks what Joe Biden couldn’t—or wouldn’t—do in four years.”
