AL GORE MELTS DOWN IN DAVOS: Former VP “Boos” Trump Commerce Secretary After America-First Speech

Former Vice President Al Gore couldn’t resist making a spectacle of himself this week in Davos, Switzerland, where he briefly accosted Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick following a speech that unapologetically put America first.

According to reports, the awkward encounter took place during a high-profile VIP dinner on Tuesday hosted by BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, attended by several hundred global elites on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum. Lutnick, a key official in President Donald Trump’s administration, delivered a speech sharply critical of Europe’s declining global influence — a message that clearly struck a nerve.

As Lutnick stepped off the stage, Gore approached him and muttered a childish “Boo,” apparently attempting to heckle or intimidate the Trump official. Instead of rising to the bait, Lutnick laughed it off. One attendee reportedly quipped, “What an honor to have Al Gore boo,” perfectly capturing the moment.

Gore later tried to downplay the incident, telling The Post that he had listened to the remarks and did not interrupt the speech. Still, he couldn’t help himself, declaring that he believes the Trump administration’s energy policy is “insane” — a predictable complaint from an environmental activist who has spent decades lecturing Americans while flying private jets.

Media accounts claimed that some guests booed and that European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde exited before dessert, with Larry Fink allegedly attempting to calm the room. However, both a Commerce Department spokesperson and a BlackRock executive disputed that narrative, stating that Lagarde left before Lutnick’s remarks and that no mass walkout occurred.

“No one left hastily. Only one person booed and it was Al Gore,” a Commerce Department representative clarified — a detail that neatly punctures the manufactured drama.

The moment came amid heightened tensions between the U.S. and Europe, as President Trump has openly challenged Europe’s weakening position on the world stage and floated bold ideas, including renewed strategic interest in Greenland.

Just one day earlier, Lutnick had laid out the administration’s philosophy in a blunt Financial Times op-ed, writing: “We are here at Davos to make one thing crystal clear: With President Trump, capitalism has a new sheriff in town.”

“For far too long,” Lutnick added, “the fate of the global economy has been decided by an international establishment who took America’s economic power and gave it to the rest of the world.”

That message may have rattled the Davos crowd — and clearly rattled Al Gore — but it resonated with the millions of Americans who voted for Trump precisely to end globalist groupthink and put U.S. interests first.

Once again, while the old guard boos from the sidelines, President Trump’s team keeps delivering.
