Just when you think the anti-ICE agitators can’t possibly sink any lower, they manage to surprise everyone — and not in a good way.
After weeks of harassing ICE agents, these activists have now moved on to targeting ordinary Americans they think might be connected to immigration enforcement. On Sunday, that reckless behavior reached a new level when anti-ICE protesters disrupted a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota, because they believed one of the pastors was associated with ICE.
Yes, really.
According to reports highlighted by Townhall, the activists interrupted a service at Cities Church in the middle of worship. Former CNN host Don Lemon even filmed portions of the incident, capturing a moment that many Americans would rightly describe as completely unhinged.
Even setting politics aside — which the protesters clearly can’t do — disrupting a church service is indefensible. People were there to pray, worship, and exercise their First Amendment rights. Instead, they were treated as collateral damage in yet another political stunt. The same activists who claim to be defending “rights” had no issue trampling on the religious freedom of others. The irony is almost impressive.
By doing this, the anti-ICE crowd sent a loud and clear message: their agenda matters more than your freedom to worship in peace. And that’s exactly the kind of behavior that resonates — negatively — with middle America. If anyone still doubted how far off the rails these activists have gone, this incident likely cleared things up.
The disruption also caught the attention of Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who said the incident would be investigated to determine whether it violated the FACE Act, citing possible desecration of a house of worship and interference with Christian worshippers.
That response matters. It signals that while activists may feel emboldened to bully, intimidate, and disrupt everyday Americans, there are still laws — and leaders — willing to step in and draw a firm line.
At the end of the day, this episode may backfire spectacularly on the anti-ICE movement. Faith, freedom, and respect for others remain core values for millions of Americans. And moments like this only reinforce why law, order, and basic decency still matter — and why they continue to earn the support of people who believe in a country where everyone’s rights are protected, not just the loudest protesters in the room.
