Anti-ICE Extremist Attacks NYC Federal Plaza: Dangerous Leftist Rhetoric Fuels Violence

The dangerous undercurrent of anti-government and anti-ICE rhetoric pushed by the radical left burst into violent reality this morning in New York City.

Authorities have now identified Andrew Arrabaca, 43, as the man behind a brazen and alarming attack on 26 Federal Plaza, a critical hub for federal agencies including the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

FBI Assistant Director James Barnacle confirmed Arrabaca is in custody after he allegedly ignited a fire, used a firework, and discharged an airsoft rifle, firing multiple pellets at the building.

The assault left three individuals injured—one civilian and two government employees—a stark reminder of the real human cost when political extremism turns physical.

Barnacle minced no words, stating that Arrabaca arrived with "bad intentions," explicitly "looking to injure people and harm people."

The arsenal found with Arrabaca included two axes, a hammer, a machete, three knives, and six incendiary devices, painting a chilling picture of premeditated violence.

Authorities also revealed Arrabaca, a U.S. Army veteran who served from 2001-2005 repairing Patriot missile systems, had "antigovernment extremist" views and carried material specifically targeting ICE.

Disturbingly, Arrabaca reportedly stated he was "okay" if he hurt or killed people, according to FBI officials.

The attack forced the cancellation of a naturalization ceremony, and in a truly ironic twist, the civilian injured was an immigrant attending an immigration hearing. A grim consequence for someone seeking the very freedoms anti-ICE radicals claim to protect.

While law enforcement diligently handles the aftermath, the political class, particularly those on the radical left, appears to struggle with basic accountability.

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, for example, could only vaguely refer to "what occurred" in his public statements. A convenient avoidance, perhaps, given the continuous drumbeat of anti-ICE rhetoric he and his ilk have amplified for months, effectively demonizing federal agents and the rule of law.

This isn't an isolated incident; the calls to abolish ICE and vilify border security have become a standard plank for radical Democrats, inevitably sowing the seeds of contempt that can, and clearly do, lead to real-world violence.

This attack serves as a grave warning: unchecked, inflammatory rhetoric against law enforcement and national sovereignty does not stay confined to political rallies or social media. It metastasizes into direct threats against our institutions and the very fabric of our communities. For America First patriots, this is a clear call for robust law and order, unwavering support for our federal agents, and a firm rejection of the dangerous extremism that seeks to dismantle our nation's security.
