Attorney General Moves to Military Base After Security Threats

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has reportedly relocated to a secure military base near Washington, D.C. after receiving a wave of death threats tied to drug cartels and backlash over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

Sources close to Bondi said the move happened within the past month after growing concerns about her personal safety. She previously lived in an apartment in Washington but was moved to a protected military facility as security officials assessed the potential risks.

The threats reportedly intensified following the capture of former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, an operation that heightened tensions with criminal organizations and foreign adversaries.

Bondi is not the only senior official in the administration who has moved into heavily protected housing in the Washington area. Several other high-ranking figures have also relocated to military facilities because of security concerns.

Among them are White House adviser Stephen Miller, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Other government officials have also taken similar precautions. Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll has moved into military housing, and Navy Secretary John Phelan relocated after his Washington home was damaged in a fire last year.

The relocation comes as Congress prepares to hold hearings related to the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said lawmakers are working to schedule testimony from Bondi and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

“I’m in communication with them,” Comer told reporters, adding that the committee hopes to bring both officials in to testify in the near future.

As the investigation moves forward and security threats remain elevated, officials appear to be taking extra precautions to ensure that key members of the administration can continue their work safely while the process unfolds.
