There's a special kind of poetic justice that sometimes unfolds in the world, and this recent incident involving a notoriously liberal news network is a prime example. The very same MS NOW crew, known for consistently painting the Trump administration in a negative light and regularly criticizing border enforcement, found themselves in a rather embarrassing predicament deep in the Texas desert.
Their mission? To report on the border wall and highlight supposed "objections" to it, all while remarking on the challenging landscape that those attempting to illegally cross the border would encounter. But then, as night fell, the network's team encountered their own "challenging landscape" – one their lavishly equipped Jeep Wagoneer simply couldn't handle.
According to MS NOW's Antonia Hylton, who was reporting from Texas' Big Bend region for the debut of "The Assignment," their vehicle "bottomed out in the desert" shortly after visiting the Alvarado Ranch. And guess who they desperately needed to pull them from the literal sandtrap of their own making?
The very Border Patrol agents they so often disparage. Hylton herself admitted, "Eight Border Patrol agents in four different trucks came out that night to rescue our crew." In a twist that further exposes the harsh realities these agents face, she added, "Three of their four vehicles got trapped in the process."
That's right. The dedicated men and women of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) – heroes who consistently put their lives on the line – had to rescue a media crew that rarely, if ever, gives them the credit they deserve. This incident underscores the relentless daily challenges CBP agents overcome, even when coming to the aid of their most vocal critics. It also highlights the essential work of those on the front lines, carrying out the critical mission of border security championed by President Donald Trump.
While MS NOW was focused on a single "challenging" stretch of the border to fit their narrative, they conveniently ignore the vast, unsecured areas where illegal aliens poured into the country under the disastrous policies of the current administration. Where were their "investigative stories" then, speaking out against the unprecedented wave Joe Biden unleashed upon our nation? Instead, we get selective reporting, complete with clips of people cheering for radical figures like James Talarico, because, of course, they do.
This episode serves as a stark reminder: when real trouble strikes at our nation's border, it isn't socialist activists or cartel members who answer the call. It's the brave, often-maligned Border Patrol agents who stand as the last line of defense. Their unwavering commitment to law and order, American sovereignty, and the safety of all, regardless of political affiliation, is a testament to the values America First stands for. It's high time the media acknowledged that truth, rather than relying on these selfless heroes only when their own comfort is at stake.
