The debate over men competing in women’s sports has produced no shortage of slogans, accusations and social-media outrage.
Now OutKick founder Clay Travis is offering something much harder to dismiss: $10 million and a test of reality.
Travis issued the challenge as WNBA players, coaches and progressive activists continue to criticize Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham after she spoke openly against biological males competing in women’s sports.
Cunningham’s position is hardly complicated: women’s sports exist because biological differences matter.
Yet saying that out loud has increasingly become enough to trigger a political pile-on.
Travis is now challenging those who insist there is effectively no meaningful athletic difference between males and females to demonstrate that claim under competitive conditions.
The point is simple. If biology supposedly makes no meaningful difference, then prove it.
That should not be an outrageous request.
Sports are built around measurable differences—speed, strength, endurance, size and physical power. Entire leagues, divisions and competitions are organized around those differences because pretending they do not exist does not make them disappear.
The controversy surrounding Cunningham shows just how politically charged the subject has become. Rather than debating whether biological differences matter in athletics, critics have increasingly treated the mere assertion of that reality as unacceptable.
Travis is turning the argument back around.
If the activists are confident in their position, they should have no problem defending it against measurable evidence. If they cannot, then perhaps the problem is not with people asking questions—it is with a movement demanding that everyone stop asking them.
Women fought for generations to establish athletic opportunities of their own. Protecting those opportunities does not require hostility toward anyone. It requires acknowledging why women’s sports exist in the first place.
And that is the uncomfortable question Travis is putting front and center.
If biology supposedly does not matter in sports, prove it. Otherwise, stop demanding that everyone else pretend reality does not exist.
