Democrats Join 'Democrats for Mike Rogers' Coalition to Oppose Far-left Nominee Abdul El- Sayed in Michigan

DETROIT, Mich.— Republican Senate nominee Mike Rogers has officially launched his "Democrats for Mike Rogers" coalition in Detroit, attracting lifelong Democratic voters who express deep dissatisfaction with the radical policy agenda of far-left Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed.

Rogers, a former FBI special agent and former U.S. Congressman, welcomed moderate voters and disillusioned Democrats who feel alienated by El-Sayed’s progressive platform. The strategic move comes as polls show a razor-close general election contest between Rogers and El-Sayed for the pivotal Michigan U.S. Senate seat.

Voters participating in the coalition reported that they had never backed a Republican candidate before, but chose to break party lines due to concerns over El-Sayed's economic and domestic policy stances. Rogers emphasized a message of unity, urging independents and disaffected Democrats to join his campaign to support economic growth, public safety, and national security initiatives.

The development highlights growing ideological fractures within the Michigan Democratic base following a contentious Democratic primary. With both national parties viewing Michigan as a primary battlefield to determine control of the U.S. Senate, Rogers' bipartisan outreach aims to build a broad coalition heading into the general election.
