While legacy media outlets breathlessly blame "climate change" for Europe's devastating wildfires, a dose of reality has emerged from France: authorities have arrested nearly 400 individuals in connection with this summer's blazes, decisively undercutting the preferred narrative.
The French Ministry of the Interior confirmed to Le Figaro that 375 people have been arrested since the start of the summer for wildfire-related offenses. Alarmingly, this figure includes 142 minors, highlighting a stark human element often ignored by those pushing a purely environmental agenda.
Across Europe, the European Forest Fire Information System reports a significant 465,000 hectares destroyed in 1,433 fires this year, with Spain, France, and Italy bearing the brunt. Yet, this sobering data is routinely weaponized by establishment media to push a man-made climate change narrative, conveniently omitting the uncomfortable truth of human culpability.
This pattern of human-caused destruction isn't unique to France. Greece has also seen a flurry of arrests, with 33 individuals apprehended between July 29 and August 2.
