So this is what “equity” looks like in Zohran Mamdani’s New York.
Mayor Mamdani’s newly appointed chief equity officer, Afua Atta-Mensah, is facing serious scrutiny after a trove of now-deleted X posts revealed open hostility toward white women, explicit anti–private property rhetoric, and even cheerleading for communism — all conveniently scrubbed just before she landed her powerful City Hall role.
According to reporting first brought to light by the New York Young Republicans Club, Atta-Mensah’s personal X account disappeared within a week of her appointment, right as another Mamdani aide was engulfed in controversy for similarly radical views. What timing.
Despite Mamdani declaring, “There is no one I trust more to advance racial equity across our work in City Hall,” the record shows Atta-Mensah repeatedly disparaging “liberal white women,” reposting inflammatory content, and embracing rhetoric that has far more in common with Marxist activism than inclusive governance.
Among the highlights — and yes, these are real — Atta-Mensah responded approvingly to posts claiming there is “NO moderate way to black liberation,” reposted commentary suggesting “white women at nonprofit organizations” feel like police, and compared white women in nonprofits to Amy Cooper, the so-called “Central Park Karen.”
When one user wrote, “We don’t talk about white liberal racism enough,” Atta-Mensah enthusiastically replied:
“Facts! It would need to be a series of loooooonnnnnnnggggg conversations.”
Inclusivity, apparently, but only for some.
Perhaps most striking was her reaction to a post inspired by the TV show Succession, in which someone said it made them want to “tax these people to the white meat.” Atta-Mensah didn’t hesitate to pile on, replying:
“Tax Them To The White Meat!!!” complete with a clapping emoji — a phrase that many critics say speaks volumes about her worldview.
Her radicalism didn’t stop there. In other posts, Atta-Mensah declared that “Private property including any kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership is a weapon of white supremacy,” and openly urged people to “elect more communists.” This, from someone now tasked with promoting “equity” for all New Yorkers.
City Hall declined to respond to requests for comment — which, at this point, is becoming standard operating procedure.
Critics argue the deletion of Atta-Mensah’s account was no accident, but a calculated attempt to avoid another embarrassment after tenant advocate Cea Weaver faced backlash for calling to “seize private property” and labeling homeownership itself as racist.
“Zohran’s team tried to be more careful after the Cea Weaver disaster, but we caught Atta-Mensah before she could scrub her digital footprint,” said New York Young Republicans Club president Stefano Forte.
“Anti-white racism is a feature, not a fringe problem, of Mamdani’s inner circle,” Forte added. “Tweets about taxing ‘white meat’ reflect the approach of the entire Mamdani administration to reshape New York.”
Once again, the Left tells voters not to believe their eyes — but the receipts keep piling up. When radical ideology is dressed up as “equity,” it’s not inclusion being advanced. It’s division.
