Massachusetts Man Who Allegedly Idolized Mass Shooters Charged With Threatening to Kill President Trump

The Department of Justice announced Thursday that a Massachusetts man has been charged with making multiple violent threats, including an alleged threat to kill President Donald Trump.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, Trenton Touch faces a federal charge related to an alleged threat against the president. Authorities have not yet established his guilt, and the allegations will be addressed in court.

The case has drawn particular attention because Touch allegedly idolized mass shooters, raising further concerns about the threats attributed to him and the potential danger they posed.

Federal authorities emphasized their commitment to investigating threats against public officials and preventing violent rhetoric from escalating into real-world attacks.

The FBI will continue working with law enforcement partners to identify potential threats and protect the public, officials said.

Touch is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court in Boston on November 9, 2026.

If convicted of threatening the president, he could face up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.

The case remains ongoing. The charges are allegations, and Touch is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
