State Department Workers Post “Fascism” Signs After Being Fired, Displaying Entitlement and Drama
Earlier, I covered the disgruntled employees at the State Department who were let go and responded by posting an absurd sign to “Resist Fascism” in a bathroom within the agency. We also discussed the “clap out” event, where these fired individuals were hugged and told they mattered.
I understand that no one likes being fired, and that’s completely understandable. But what stands out in this story is the level of entitlement exhibited by whoever put up the “fascism” sign. They are upset because they believe it’s “fascist” that President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio would show them the door.
There are a few more signs I wanted to share from these disgruntled employees, who seem to struggle with professionalism and can’t leave without turning it into a dramatic display. As I mentioned, I previously wrote about the “Resist Fascism” sign. It’s rather laughable because it’s clear they don’t even understand what fascism truly means—something they should certainly grasp at the State Department.
The sense of entitlement is off the charts, and the other signs are just as amusing.
“HISTORY WILL REMEMBER WHAT WAS LOST HERE.”
What? This sounds like the work of people who are anything but professional. Maybe letting go of just 2 percent of them wasn’t enough.
“You have saved so many lives.”
“IF YOU SAY YOU LOVE FREEDOM BUT DON’T CARE IF IT APPLIES TO EVERYONE THEN WHAT YOU REALLY LOVE IS PRIVILEGE.”
What does that even mean? And how is that related to “privilege”? You’re supposed to be there to implement the policies of the United States.
This next one was probably my favorite:
“Here sat America’s experts on democracy, human rights (yes, which includes women’s rights, LGBTQ+, and minorities’ rights, elections security, freedom of expression, privacy, countering corruption, violent extremism, and disinformation, and more. You’ve just released them and hundreds of their colleagues into the wild.”
America’s so-called “experts,” apparently. They really have a high opinion of themselves. If they were such experts, why was Biden’s foreign policy such a mess? Once again, they seem to think they have the right to dictate policy when that responsibility lies with the President of the United States.
This one was amusing as well:
Reuters was clearly summoned to cover this dramatic moment, too. Notice the “democracy” headstones being held.
Did the media make such a fuss over the military personnel that Biden discharged for refusing the COVID vaccine?
Lastly, since it’s the weekend, here’s some snark with a made-up sign from our friend Jim Treacher.
