Early Sunday morning, chaos erupted at what was supposed to be just another “party” — this time inside an Airbnb rental in Bath Township, Ohio. By the end of the night, nine people were injured after an unknown number of shooters opened fire on the first floor of the house before fleeing the scene.
Police were called around 12:15 a.m., and by the time officers arrived, the shooters were long gone — leaving behind blood, shell casings, and a crowd that had scattered in panic. Bath Township Police Chief Vito Sinopoli confirmed that the home was being used as a rental property through Airbnb, and disturbingly, this marks the second time since 2017 that a shooting has taken place at an Airbnb in the area.
The event wasn’t a small gathering — it was a massive party promoted on social media, drawing dozens, if not hundreds, of people. In other words, another “pop-up party” made possible by online hype and zero accountability.
But here’s the bigger picture that the mainstream media will tiptoe around: these incidents are the direct result of a culture that excuses lawlessness, demonizes police, and treats accountability like a dirty word. For years, the left has pushed “criminal justice reform” that sounds compassionate in theory but turns deadly in practice. Meanwhile, platforms like Airbnb keep turning a blind eye when their properties are used for parties, drug deals, and now — shootings.
Let’s call it what it is: this isn’t just a “random act of violence.” It’s another consequence of the breakdown of public order under progressive policies that value optics over safety.
Once again, law enforcement officers are left to clean up the mess — after being undermined, defunded, and second-guessed at every turn. And innocent people, many of them just out for a good time, end up paying the price.
The reality is simple: until America returns to a culture of law, order, and personal responsibility, these tragedies will keep happening — not because of a lack of laws, but because of a lack of leadership.
Bath Township now joins a growing list of communities devastated by preventable violence. Thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families — but more importantly, it’s time for action: enforce the law, restore respect for the police, and stop letting criminals rule the night. ??
