President Donald J. Trump is doing exactly what every patriotic American expects from their Commander-in-Chief: protecting the integrity of our elections. On Monday, the Trump administration announced a major upgrade to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program — the federal database that helps ensure only U.S. citizens are voting in our elections.
Under the direction of USCIS Director Joseph Edlow, the changes make it faster, simpler, and more secure for states to confirm voter eligibility. Previously, election officials had to enter all nine digits of a registrant’s Social Security Number — a process both slow and error-prone. Thanks to Trump’s reforms, they’ll now only need the last four digits, allowing for quicker and more efficient verification.
As USCIS spokesman Matthew Tragesser put it:
“USCIS remains dedicated to eliminating barriers to securing the nation’s electoral process. By allowing states to efficiently verify voter eligibility, we are reinforcing the principle that America’s elections are reserved exclusively for American citizens.”
Imagine that — elections reserved for Americans. Radical concept, right? Apparently, it takes a president with actual common sense to remind Washington of the basics.
This upgrade builds on years of Trump’s efforts to clean up voter rolls and stop noncitizens from voting — something the media insists “never happens,” despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
Former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) official Antonio Gracias revealed earlier this year that federal investigators uncovered thousands of noncitizens registered to vote — and many of them had actually cast ballots.
“We looked at voter rolls and found that thousands are registered to vote in friendly states,” Gracias said. “And we looked even further and found that many of those people had actually voted. It was shocking to us. If I hadn’t seen this with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe it.”
Of course, the Left would rather pretend this is all a “myth,” because acknowledging it would expose one of their favorite plays: diluting the votes of lawful American citizens.
Shockingly, only 26 states currently use the SAVE system to verify voter eligibility — which means nearly half the country still relies on outdated, error-prone systems vulnerable to abuse. Trump’s reforms are an open invitation for the remaining states to get serious about election security.
Let’s be honest — if Democrats can spend billions to verify every citizen’s vaccination status or track your carbon footprint, they can certainly verify whether someone’s eligible to vote. The difference is, Trump actually wants the system to work for Americans — not for the globalist political class.
The president’s move is yet another step toward restoring faith in America’s elections — something this country desperately needs. After years of chaos, mail-in ballot debacles, and dead voters mysteriously coming back to life every election season, Trump is putting the power back where it belongs: with the people.
Because when it comes to voting in the United States of America, there’s only one rule that truly matters — Americans first.
