Report: Pelosi’s Retirement Rumors Send Democrats Into Panic Mode — ‘I Think She’s Out’

It looks like the Queen of the Swamp might finally be packing it in. Reports from NBC News suggest that Nancy Pelosi, the 85-year-old former Speaker of the House and long-time face of Democrat power politics, could soon be stepping into retirement — and her own party isn’t taking the news too well.

According to multiple Democrat insiders, Pelosi is expected to make an announcement about her future following Tuesday’s elections, which include Proposition 50, a California ballot measure to redraw congressional lines. Pelosi has been one of Prop 50’s biggest champions, reportedly hoping the plan would help Democrats gain several new seats in the next midterm cycle. And, conveniently, it could also give her one last “achievement” to retire on.

“She’s expected to make an announcement about her future after Tuesday,” NBC reported, quoting one California House Democrat as saying, “I think she’s out. She’s going to go out with Prop 50 overwhelmingly passing — and what a crowning achievement for her to do that.”

Translation: Pelosi’s about to take a victory lap, claim credit for one more political power grab, and then ride off into the San Francisco sunset — no doubt with her multimillion-dollar stock portfolio safely tucked away.

Even one Democratic leadership aide admitted, “I think she’s preparing to exit the stage.”

And who’s waiting in the wings? None other than state Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) — one of the most radical lawmakers in California history. His record reads like a progressive fever dream:

  • A mask ban designed to make it easier to “dox” ICE agents.

  • SB 79, which overrides local zoning laws to allow massive high-rise projects near transit centers.

  • A law decriminalizing loitering, which triggered a surge in child prostitution (and had to be repealed).

  • A “transgender sanctuary state” bill that encourages minors to flee to California for sex-change surgeries and hormone drugs.

  • And, of course, his notorious law reducing penalties for same-sex statutory rape cases where the perpetrator is close in age to the victim.

In short: if Pelosi really is leaving, San Francisco may soon trade one brand of corruption for another — from insider trading to outright radicalism.

Speaking of insider trading, let’s not forget Pelosi’s real legacy: the Pelosi stock fortune. Together with her husband, Paul Pelosi, the couple has raked in hundreds of millions of dollars through “lucky” investments that just happen to align perfectly with congressional policy decisions. No wonder Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) reintroduced the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act earlier this year. The bill would finally stop lawmakers from profiting off insider knowledge — a concept Pelosi’s career has practically turned into an art form.

And as Breitbart pointed out, this is all happening as the Democrat Party transforms into the party of the wealthy elite, now representing over 75 percent of the richest congressional districts in America. So much for being “for the people.”

In November 2024, Pelosi filed to run for reelection in 2026 — but few believe she’ll actually make it that far. For someone who’s been in Washington since 1987, the timing makes sense. A new congressional map, a symbolic “final victory,” and a chance to retire before the next wave of political chaos hits her party? It’s almost poetic.

If Pelosi really is out, the Democrats lose not just their matriarch — but their ultimate dealmaker, fundraiser, and backroom power broker. And while Republicans won’t shed any tears, even we can admit: Washington won’t be quite as entertaining without Nancy’s trademark “let’s pass it to see what’s in it” brand of leadership.

Still, one thing’s for sure — when Pelosi finally goes, America won’t miss the corruption, the hypocrisy, or the designer ice cream. It might just be the best early Christmas present Washington’s had in years.
