SENATE RINOS MELTDOWN OVER TRUMP BACKING PAXTON EXPOSES HOW OUT OF TOUCH THE GOP ESTABLISHMENT REALLY IS

The Republican establishment is once again proving that its biggest fear isn’t Democrats — it’s Republican voters who refuse to play along with the old Washington game anymore.

President Trump’s endorsement of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton over longtime establishment favorite John Cornyn in the Texas Senate Republican primary has reportedly triggered absolute panic inside the Senate GOP conference. And judging by the reactions coming out of Washington, you’d think someone had just unplugged the entire D.C. cocktail party circuit.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune publicly stood beside visibly uncomfortable Republican leadership members while reaffirming his support for Cornyn, describing him as a “principled conservative.” That description alone probably caused half of MAGA America to spit out their coffee laughing.

Meanwhile, Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker reportedly sat stone-faced for nearly 20 seconds when asked about Trump’s endorsement, while Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski allegedly threw what can only be described as a political temper tantrum over Trump refusing to back Cornyn.

The drama didn’t stop there.

Senate Republicans also reportedly held a sympathy session for Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy following his recent primary defeat, even giving him a standing ovation during their Tuesday lunch meeting. Apparently, nothing unites establishment Republicans faster than losing the support of their own voters.

The irony here is impossible to ignore.

If someone only watched the reaction from Senate Republicans, they’d assume Cornyn and Cassidy were fearless America First warriors leading the charge against Democrats and defending conservative values at every turn. But the actual records tell a very different story.

Cornyn has supported gun control legislation, criticized conservatives, opposed efforts to investigate anti-Trump lawfare, signaled support for immigration amnesty, opposed building a border wall, backed legislation tied to critical race theory, and supported major spending packages during the Biden years.

Cassidy, meanwhile, voted to convict Trump during his second impeachment trial, supported gun control measures, backed massive spending bills, and even echoed Democrat narratives surrounding the legal attacks against Trump during the 2024 election cycle.

And yet, despite all of that, establishment Republicans appear far more upset about these politicians potentially losing power than about the policies that angered Republican voters in the first place.

That tells you everything.

The modern Republican establishment has spent years mastering a very specific strategy: campaign like conservatives, govern like bureaucrats, complain about Democrats nonstop, then conveniently accomplish nothing once elected. It’s political theater with a donor-funded budget.
