Patriotism, faith, and American pride filled the National Mall on Sunday as thousands gathered in Washington, D.C., for the massive “Rededicate 250” prayer rally celebrating America’s upcoming 250th anniversary. And unlike the chaos and anti-American protests the media usually loves to glorify, this crowd came together for prayer, worship, and gratitude for the nation God has blessed for nearly two and a half centuries.
Top Trump administration officials, Republican leaders, and influential Christian figures took part in the event, reaffirming a message that millions of Americans still believe deeply: the United States is, and always has been, One Nation Under God.
President Donald Trump delivered a prerecorded message during the rally, reading directly from 2 Chronicles 7 and reminding Americans of the importance of humility, prayer, and faith during difficult times.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land,” Trump said.

It’s the kind of message that drives the secular elites in Washington absolutely crazy — a president openly talking about God, prayer, and national healing instead of lecturing Americans about pronouns and climate anxiety.
Vice President JD Vance described America as “a nation of prayer,” pointing out that faith has shaped the country since before its founding. Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed that sentiment, saying America’s soul has always been rooted in Christianity and timeless biblical values.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard reminded attendees that America’s founders humbled themselves before God before declaring independence, while House Speaker Mike Johnson led a heartfelt prayer thanking God for guiding the nation since its beginning.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth referenced George Washington’s faith, and Sen. Tim Scott spoke about the historic role Christianity played in both the nation’s founding and the Civil Rights Movement. Meanwhile, Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King Jr., praised Trump for encouraging Americans to “rededicate America to God.”

“This nation was founded on godly principles,” King said, noting that her uncle once addressed a crowd on the same National Mall decades ago.
Actor Jonathan Roumie, best known for portraying Jesus in “The Chosen,” also encouraged Americans to recommit themselves to faith and prayer. The event featured appearances from respected religious leaders including Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Bishop Robert Barron, Rabbi Meir Soloveichik, and evangelist Franklin Graham, along with worship performances by Grammy-winning Christian artist Chris Tomlin.
As patriotic colors filled the National Mall, the event served as a reminder that despite years of attacks on faith, family, and traditional American values, millions of Americans still proudly believe this country’s strength comes from God, freedom, and unity — not from the radical ideologies pushed by today’s left-wing establishment.
And judging by the massive turnout, that spirit is very much alive heading into America’s 250th birthday.
