“There was no report or warning of anything resembling what has happened, nor anything like what occurred in 2021, when 10,000 people entered,” Marlaska insisted. This apparent cover-up has sparked outrage, with Miguel Tellado, Congressman and Secretary General of the center-right People’s Party (PP), swiftly calling for the resignations of both Interior Minister Marlaska and Defense Minister Margarita Robles.
