In a deeply unsettling trend, the Democrat Party continues to promote the disproven notion that America is inherently and irredeemably racist. This dangerous narrative isn't just a talking point; it's a political strategy, designed to foment division and rally a base around fabricated grievances. It's a strategy that requires America to be perpetually "racist" so that Democrats can perpetually claim to be its saviors.
Consider Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff, a politician who seems more interested in grandstanding than truth. Ossoff has chosen to hurl inflammatory accusations, claiming his opponents embody bigotry, neo-Nazism, and the Ku Klux Klan. "The state of Georgia rejects neo-Nazism," he hyperbolically declared. "The state of Georgia rejects the Klan." Such rhetoric, devoid of any real evidence, serves only to demonize political rivals and paint an entire segment of the population as irredeemable.
Other Democrats are just as eager to join the chorus of manufactured outrage. Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) audaciously asserts that the Confederacy is not only alive but "well." This claim is, frankly, bizarre. The Confederacy was defeated over a century and a half ago, yet to hear Pressley speak, one might think General Lee just surrendered last week. Her words aren't wise; they are calculated. "This is our freedom," she dramatically proclaimed, outlining a "Fascist agenda" that she insists is "bigger than Trump." According to Pressley, "White supremacy is still alive and well. Anti-blackness will still be alive and well. Xenophobia and LGBTQ. It's not going to end with one person, right?" This broad brush of victimhood ensures that the political fight, and thus the Democrat Party's perceived necessity, never truly ends.
The race-baiting doesn't stop there. Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has spread disturbing and unsubstantiated claims about "mysterious deaths taking place in places like Mississippi," specifically referencing Black individuals allegedly being found hanged. She laments that the Department of Justice can no longer be relied upon to investigate these alleged lynchings, implying a widespread cover-up of KKK-style murders.
Even children's entertainer "Ms. Rachel," a YouTube host, has swallowed and regurgitated this radical left-wing agitprop. She passionately declared, "Please listen to the black community. Black people don't hang themselves from trees. There's been at least seven black people found hanging from trees." This is the epitome of what could be called 'Clown Nose Syndrome': donning the mantle of a political activist, then feigning shock and offense when confronted about the political nature of their statements. Ms. Rachel's dive into highly contentious, often false, political narratives, then demands immunity from criticism due to her profession, is a common tactic on the Left.
The truth, however, is a stubborn thing. While it would indeed be horrifying if Black individuals were being randomly lynched across America, the facts simply do not support these sensational claims. Law enforcement investigations and medical examiners have consistently ruled many of these cases as suicides. For instance, in Raleigh, North Carolina, video evidence showed a young Black man carrying an electrical cord, walking to a tree alone, and the incident occurring with no one else in the area. This was a suicide.
Other cited cases, like Trey Reed in Mississippi and a 16-year-old Congolese immigrant, were also ruled suicides by medical examiners. To'Nea Nicole Miller in Florida, a 27-year-old woman found hanging in a park, was determined to have died in a manner "consistent with a suicide" by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Department, with no evidence of foul play. While a few cases may still be pending investigation, the narrative of a spate of KKK-style lynchings is a dangerous and malicious fabrication.
It is a tragic reality that thousands of people in the United States die by suicide every year, including by hanging. Furthermore, statistics show that white individuals die by suicide, including hanging, at significantly higher rates than Black individuals. These are not comfortable truths, but they are truths nonetheless. Yet, leftist politicians and activists ignore these facts, choosing instead to invent an alternate reality where America is a hotbed of unaddressed racist violence.
This isn't a new tactic. We saw it during the Ferguson unrest when the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" narrative was pushed by figures like Barack Obama, despite later evidence proving it false. The Left has a vested interest in keeping racial wounds open and inflamed. By constantly portraying America as a systemically racist nation, they maintain their relevance, justify their calls for radical social restructuring, and motivate their base with the promise of fighting an omnipresent evil that only they can defeat.
The desperate need for America to remain "racist" is a political life support system for the radical left. It undermines trust, divides communities, and distracts from actual issues facing Americans. It's a cynical strategy that puts political power above truth, common sense, and the genuine pursuit of a more unified nation. And somehow, they still expect Americans not to notice this calculated deception.
