In the high-stakes Texas Senate race, where Attorney General Ken Paxton, a staunch conservative endorsed by President Trump, faces off against state legislator James Talarico, voters are witnessing a familiar political charade.
Talarico, like many on the radical left, is attempting to masquerade as a moderate, a "normal" figure for the everyday citizens of the Lone Star State. Yet, as the November 3rd midterms draw near, a new exposé has shredded his carefully crafted facade, revealing a deeply unsettling, anti-family agenda that he desperately tries to hide.

Talarico recently appeared on a podcast, attempting to deflect blame for his extreme positions – including his assertion that there are "six sexes" and bizarre remarks about God – by pinning them on "Republican extremism." The audacity is almost impressive. But the internet, thankfully, never forgets.
One of the most egregious positions Talarico has tried to quietly abandon is his stance on children undergoing irreversible transgender transitions, often without their parents' knowledge or consent. This is a critical issue for any parent, a fundamental right to guide their own children.
The latest evidence comes in an explosive supercut video. It catches Talarico in a direct attack on Miriam Evans, a brave Texas mother who featured in an advertisement exposing his blatant falsehoods. Her ad highlighted his support for labeling parents as child abusers if they simply choose not to affirm a child's self-identified gender. The receipts, as they say, are now undeniable.
First, the video shows an interviewer directly asking the Democrat about Miriam Evans' "accusation that you support child abuse charges for parents who do not support their minor's transitioning their gender."
Talarico's response? A dismissive, "That's incorrect. It's a lie."
Except, the very next clips immediately contradict his denial. Talarico is seen on record supporting the sidelining of parents in these life-altering decisions. He explicitly described a parent's refusal to affirm a child's chosen gender identity as "harmful" and "abusive." He even doubled down, calling the failure to classify such parental decisions as abuse "dangerous."
"An unwillingness to acknowledge a child's gender identity...is abusive behavior," Talarico declared during a Texas legislative hearing in 2019. "We consider that abusive to the child."
The supercut continues, showing Democrat Texas State Representative "Jo" Jones speaking on the House floor. She proudly championed an amendment, which Talarico unequivocally voted for in 2025, stating: "My amendment makes it clear: rejecting a child's gender identity or sexual orientation is abuse. This amendment ensured that the law reflects [that]."
Let that sink in. Had this radical legislation passed, it would have formally codified into Texas law the idea that a parent who does not affirm a child's gender identity is, by definition, guilty of child abuse. This is a direct assault on parental rights and common sense.
Perhaps the most damning revelation comes from Talarico's own pastor, Rev. Babs Miller. In a stunning admission, Miller was recorded on video acknowledging that Talarico fully intended to revert to his far-left, progressive positions "once he gets elected" to the Senate. And there it is. The mask slips, confirming exactly what conservative Texans have long suspected: this is a deliberate deception.
This is not the first time Rev. Miller, a self-identified lesbian pastor of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, has raised eyebrows. RedState previously reported on exclusive audio where Miller disturbingly expressed that some in her congregation "still wish the gunman in Butler had actually completed his mission in taking out President Trump." Such vitriol from a spiritual leader speaks volumes about the company Talarico keeps and the ideology he truly represents.
Texas parents deserve to know precisely who is on their ballot and where these candidates truly stand. Early voting is already underway in the Lone Star State. Republicans must turn out in force to ensure that James Talarico does not get the chance to, as his own pastor so candidly put it, "switch back to where he was" once it's too late. The future of Texas families and the sacred rights of parents depend on it.
