Three Detained After SWAT Raid Near Missing Nancy Guthrie’s Home

Three people were detained Friday night after a SWAT team with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department descended on a home near the residence of missing Arizona grandmother Nancy Guthrie, according to reports.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a home about two miles from Guthrie’s property in Tucson after receiving a tip. Two men and one of their mothers were taken into custody, a local police source told Fox News Digital. Investigators have not confirmed whether any of those detained are suspects.

Around the same time, law enforcement was seen towing a silver SUV from a parking lot outside a Tucson restaurant, according to TMZ, citing Fox News.

The SWAT operation came just hours after investigators recovered unidentified DNA from Guthrie’s property. Officials said the DNA belonged to someone not known to be in close contact with the missing woman and was sent to a lab for analysis.

Guthrie, 84, the mother of “Today” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on Jan. 31 at her Tucson home. Authorities believe she was forced out of the house, where investigators reportedly found a trail of blood.

Since her disappearance, multiple ransom notes have surfaced, allegedly from individuals claiming responsibility for her abduction. Despite the developments, no suspects have been officially identified as the case entered its 13th day.

Earlier this week, a local delivery driver was briefly detained and questioned by police but was later released. He reportedly told officers he had never heard of Savannah Guthrie or her missing mother, despite the intense media attention surrounding the case.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue searching for answers in what has become one of Tucson’s most closely watched missing-person cases.
