Trump Announces He’s Signed Bill to Release Epstein Files

President Donald Trump has officially done what Democrats, bureaucrats, and half of Washington swore would “never happen.” After the House and Senate passed the measure, Trump signed the bill directing the Department of Justice to release the Epstein files — finally pulling back the curtain on a scandal the political establishment has worked overtime to bury.

Trump made the announcement Wednesday night on Truth Social in a message that wasted no time setting the record straight. He reminded the country that it was the Trump Justice Department — not Democrats — that charged Jeffrey Epstein in 2019. Trump also made it clear Epstein was a lifelong Democrat donor closely tied to major Democrat figures, including Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, Hakeem Jeffries, and Stacey Plaskett. If anyone was wondering why Democrats suddenly became allergic to sunshine, well, there’s your answer.

Trump said he personally asked Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune to pass the bill, which sailed through with almost unanimous support. That’s what happens when a real leader gives clear direction — even Congress starts moving.

According to Trump, the Department of Justice has already handed over nearly fifty thousand pages of documents to Congress at his direction. Meanwhile, he pointed out that the Biden administration didn’t release a single page involving Epstein and never spoke about him at all. Nothing like an administration promising “transparency” while keeping the lid tight on a scandal that conveniently circles their own political tribe.

Trump also noted that Democrats have weaponized the Epstein saga to distract from his administration’s victories: the tax cuts, strong borders, ending DEI, lowering prices, rebuilding the military, cutting regulations, overseeing major investment in the U.S., and ending multiple wars. Not to mention beating Democrats on the recent shutdown fight. As Trump put it, this is just the latest in a long line of witch hunts meant to derail his success — just like Russia, Ukraine, and the impeachment hoaxes that came before.

The New York Times, for its part, added a dose of caution, noting that the bill does include some exceptions that allow documents tied to ongoing investigations to remain sealed. Which is political-speak for: don’t be surprised if certain agencies try to drag their feet.

But here’s the bottom line: the bill is signed, the files are primed for release, and Democrats suddenly have a lot less room to hide. After years of stonewalling, delaying, and shouting “conspiracy theory,” the truth is headed for daylight — whether the political class likes it or not.

And as Trump reminded the country, every time Democrats try to launch another smear campaign, it ends the same way: it backfires. This time won’t be any different. Things are moving in the right direction, and America is better off for it. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.
