Donald Trump publicly criticized Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett after the court ruled against his tariff policy.
In a fiery Truth Social post, Trump called the decision a “tariff catastrophe” and warned the country cannot continue absorbing rulings that weaken America economically.
Trump also suggested the court may soon rule against his efforts to end birthright citizenship, calling the policy “unsustainable, unsafe, and incredibly costly.”
“I don’t want loyalty, but I do want and expect it for our Country,” Trump wrote, expressing frustration with justices he appointed to help defend American interests — not undermine them.
The birthright citizenship decision is still pending and is expected before the end of June or early July. For many conservatives, the issue has become another major test of whether the court will prioritize constitutional originalism or continue policies critics say encourage abuse of the immigration system.
And once again, Trump is making it clear he is not afraid to call out even his own appointees when he believes America is losing.
